Been watching your vids since 2012, I’ve learned a ton from you over the years. Thank you for sharing your experience and wisdom, it makes everyone a better and safer rider. I hope you are doing well, and if you’re ever in MN I’d ride with you, if you wanted. Stay safe out there, and stay true to who you are. This world is a rough place, but good people like you make it better :D

I remember being subscribed to you when I started this channel, back in 2009; possibly knew of you before this one was made, even. I remember watching you and seeing your daughter grow up, and now I have my own. Made me sad when I realized my account was unsubscribed to your channel, and I looked everywhere to find you again. Happy to see youre still around and doing well. I wish KZbin didnt unsubscribe me from your channel sometime after 2021, but I guess sometimes that doesnt matter, I'm just glad to show support finally

I have been riding for 29 years and I still suck. But I keep working to get better. 😂 I use to dig deep into the corners but as I have gotten older, I have become more conservative. Plus my bikes now are bigger and heavier so it’s not as easy. I need a light bike to dig in hard and feel confident .

Very true about going straight and not learning! It's crazy though that most basic riding courses don't teach the absolute importance of pushing the bars to lean and turn. More push = more lean = more aggressive arc. It's way more important than body position or even head position/where your eyes are looking. IMO, the reason it's so important is that it's easy to panic when say running wide on a left hand turn, in which case you can find yourself wanting to turn the handlebars left in a panic, which will make the bike want to turn right! I am sure that alone has killed many motorcyclists. Instead the reflexive action of pushing the left handlebar left to go left must be developed over time. It's an absolute life saver for any type of two wheel machine.

This happened to me locally, guy showed up to ride in jeans, i just kept saying go at your own pace and enjoy the road. Not much traffic or city here to navigate really your ride is alot harder by default

People that do these tours are not typical of your average rider. These are rich people looking for adventure. Not riders who love to ride.

I call it mechanical babble. Just like a baby babbles to learn to talk. I play with the bike constantly to learn how it rides.

weird thing is.. I got a bike (125cc ) dropped it with in a week in my parent's property on braking trying not to smash into my moms car. Only had a learners for a month so where I live mopeds are limited to 45kmh, which is a traffic hazard (two common speed limits here are 50-60 to 80kmh, you might push 50 on downhill) Drivers just go I do not wanna be behind this rider and make dangerous passes trying to save minutes. Theres a swedish segment on removing the restrictions ca 2002 , they even commented yes ingenuity make good civil engineers (probably unlocked their bike) but don't do this.. Cops can still ticket you for going 82 in a 80 zone cause signs say max speed on this road is.
@M1310 күн бұрын
In Taiwan you need to be doing at least 10 over to be ticketed. But again safety versus getting a ticket... I'll choose safety.
@gasdive10 күн бұрын
That's depressing. If I subtract all the time not spent dragging a knee and shortening my footpegs I've only got about 5 minutes experience.

It was a dream to own a motorcycle since I saw M13’s videos way back.. at least 10-15 years ago. Now proudly I can say I’ve made it happen, still probably suck as a driver. But i’ll get there!
@M1310 күн бұрын
I've had people come to do my tour who have never ridden a bike in their life. After a week they are better riders than I am. Realistically, as long as you focus hard on improving and not simply riding, you should be able to double your skill level in a very short amount of time.

New generation needs a new how to ride vid I guess. Love the thumbnail btw, you still got the 650? Years ago you said how cumbersome it is compared to be on a scooter, would've been nice to see it from time to time tho.

Do these people have kids... My three year old plays game and doesn't randomly push buttons. He does ask for help a lot.. but he plays humans fall flat and says as he does the sequence " hands up, bum up, pull up" knowing what he's doing. Also found maybe secrets in goat simulator... Goat simulator definately his favorite game - but really into spider man now too.

You know what it is too.. vlogging just went down in popularity, in combination with demographics across the site getting younger and less patient. The only type of vlogging that's in demand now are poverty safaris.. slum and/or (subtle) sex tourism videos. Bald & Bankrupt, Kurt what's-his-face (the german dude), those guys who ride scooters through hooker filled streets. Poor exploitation videos basically.. where westerners can gawk at 3rd worlders.

Reddit has some good insights but sometimes its the blind leading the blind. I go there for news and to get a sense of peoples opinions. The top comments are kind of like a hive mind of society. Unfortunately they also act like a know it all brat and sometimes are completely wrong. Video games are a good education source. They taught me that the journey is more important than the destination, owning everything is boring. If I ever become super wealthy I wont have to worry about spending it all. I already did that dumb shit on video games such as Gta online.

As long as it doesn’t hamper the kids enthusiasm for learning normal stuff it doesn’t really matter imo. When a kid starts a temper tantrum when having to do some simple math or reading then it has to change.

This game had a bit of a fallout 76 situation then got shut down so anyone, particularly on reddit, will take issue with it receiving any praise. The truth was it was an 8/10 bogged down with strange limitations on access to content. With that now gone its a pretty ok game. Hope JD's having fun.

Going through some of your old videos - Long time subscriber and won't take your comments here too seriously .... but I think the reasoning for your crash and the 'solution' is not great... A car is far more comfortable vs a motorcycle and the logic can be used to simply say anyone who crashes fell asleep out of boredom and we all need to drive aggressively so the adrenaline rush can keep us awake - this would lead to disaster on our road ways. Glad you've recovered and are STILL putting out content on KZbin - one of the few original KZbinrs that still are putting out content. Take care of yourself, you're a great dude.
