Wow wonderful video...we planning on doing it next year march but they told us it will be Aloe Kaya>>Pongola>>Candlewood >>Aloe Kaya

Thank you 😊 you are going to love the hike. I think I did mention in the video that it is a flexible trail, it doesn't have a fixed starting point nor a fixed number of days (or maybe I said it in the video abt the huts 🤷🏾♀️) anyway regardless of where you start it's a fun trail and there are also optional side trails at each hut.

Before, you weren't allowed to talk at all (especially in any language which is not Shona). Pointing, commenting on flowers and looking behind were also prohibited. I guess very soon tourists will be having braais with their kids up there. That mountain is spooky.
@AfricanHikerАй бұрын
Sjo, this mountain had many rules. Hopefully tourists don't ever braai up there, that would ruin the feel of the mountain. It's not a party place.

Ciao Anita, I hope this mail finds you well. I ask you one more favour: to your knowledge, are the rates for 2025 been issued? I'm asking since we are going shortly to book the flights...Thank you in advance for your very appreciated help. Best regards. Nicola

Fond memories. Hiked Naukluft twice. Yes, that second overnight "building" was many years ago already a nightmare.
@AfricanHiker2 ай бұрын
Naukluft is so nice it has to be done twice 🧡 I was strongly considering sleeping outside that night 😅 horrible!
@peetschabort10802 ай бұрын
@@AfricanHiker Thanks your reply. That "building" was many years ago private property and a place of vacation for the owner. It was reachable with a track from the main provincial road. I think I have the answer for THAT HOLE at 4:24. I presume that it is on the left (very close) to the footpath? On the second day of the hike there was(is?) a windmill on the left of the trail. IF you did not see that windmill for sure it was removed and stood over that hole!!
@peetschabort10802 ай бұрын
I am wrong with the windmill! On another hiker's video the windmill is still there!!
