I enjoy all of Banksy's art. I have three T-shirts (so far) with his prints on them. I also like M.C. Escher, Degas, and the like. I have some wall art prints of most of their works, but sadly not any of Banksy's, yet!

Many street artist have no hate for Banksy, the hate is for the councils that prosecute artists while Banksy has preservation orders slapped on his work that is why some deface it. Street art is to be shared, it's not done for fame or money or for galleries. Most people don't know who he is but many street artists from Bristol / London know exactly who he is, it is not a secret, it is a code of conduct. No I'm not telling you either.

I thought it was sad he used a real elephant for an exhibition, that poor creature having to be transported, painted, stared at, photographed and restricted into a tiny space on show. This is the kind of thing I'd expect from someone who only cares about being in the spotlight and has no concern on what they use to get there. It just seems a contradiction of what Banksy appears to stand for considering his statement about animal cruelty with the truck full of stuffed toy sheep. I guess the moral of this tale is the guy's no saint and is obviously not immune to some contradictory messages and values like the majority fo the population.
