Causes oil leaks and increased fuel consumption. You might even hear air leaking through it. The Mini I had may have just been a lemon, but I had to replace it several times. I've heard it suggested to use the old spring instead of the one that comes in the kit, but I had already thrown mine out.

Unfortunately I ended up not having enough time to work on it or film. I had a baby on the way and my family car was breaking down too so I had to trade that in for something newer, and sell the Mini to help make some payments. The torment might end, at least temporarily, with an engine rebuild(complete reseal including piston rings). Is yours only misfiring? Or did you have several other problems before?

Do a compression test

Cylinder 1 at 135, cylinder 2 at 150, cylinder 3 at 135, cylinder 4 at 140. The compression didn't bleed off, but I also didn't leave it sitting very long to tell if there was an slow leak

How many miles on your car? Considering the valve cover is plastic too, it may have also been due for replacement. I'm not sure how long they're supposed to last.

Mine has about 140,000 miles. I don't know if the valve cover had been replaced before I bought it. I've had to replace the pcv membrane several times most likely due to other engine problems I haven't been able to address yet. Now it's down for a rebuild/reseal. But I'm working on getting the Fiero running and driving first.

It was my spouse' idea since I have such limited time away from my job so cars have been taking such a long time to get finished. This one's been waiting 7 years.

Unfortunately the entire valve cover assembly is plastic. It could be due to be replaced as well. There are aftermarket metal ones, but I haven't had the money to buy anything more.

I still haven't fixed it. Either sunroof seal or front windshield leaking. I'm kinda leaning towards front windshield seal but I'm still going to replace the sunroof seal and eventually run a bead of caulking along the top of the windshield.

@@CarlosMartinez-yt2bs quite frequently it's the drain tubes that come undone. I haven't gotten a chance to fix it yet. Been crazy busy at work.
