What a great idea, I've a few stitched pieces of Slow stitching,. I really like the idea of actually making something out of what I stitch. So far I've I made a carry case for my threads and small projects. Your phone case will easily adapt to a case for my sunglasses. Keep it up you are an inspiration for us all.

That's a wonderful idea to make a glasses case ! ! I’m thinking the same I’m keen to make more useful items 😁 still not worrying about perfection obviously 🩷

WOW, we must have been on the same page. I was wanting to do a pouch, but, an easy one. Just a fun project. I have not painted on fabric yet. I have been thinking about it. Your blue looks like a nice sky. I love the natural colors too, like a rust dye. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Happy stitching in 2025.
@Stitchingwithcarol3 күн бұрын
That is awesome! It really was the simplest way 😊 it’s my first pouch and I definitely will be making more. Yes, we will be attempting to use my painted fabrics in a picture of some kind at least that’s the plan.!❤️

Hi, Carol! I love your blue phone purse! Part of the enjoyment for me is the spontaneous way in which you work - you started with an idea, but weren’t afraid to change your mind and try more new ideas along the way. The result is lovely, and it looks very much “Carol”! I’m thinking about trying to make a bag like this for a little portable sketching kit. Count me in for making some “practical things” in this New Year! I liked your comment that we should try new things, and not let a fear of making mistakes hold us back. 😎 I enjoy all of your videos, whether short or long, and sometimes a “stitching hour” is just what I want, so that I can stitch along on something and relax and smile. Cheers! from Lynn in very SNOWY Hallsville, Missouri USA

Hi Lynn Thank you for your lovely long comment. I really didn’t know what I was gonna make when I started and I can’t believe it just fit my phone perfectly. Im always happy to change my mind and as you know, I don’t really plan. I really do wanna make some practical things, but including that maybe some art that we can frame or gift. We will see what happens. So glad you enjoyed the stitching our it just takes that long even with all the editing. (I took out about 45 minutes slightly too long I think.) Snow hasn’t arrived yet here in Bournemouth, lots of rain as usual ! Love and hugs Carol 🤗 🩷

@Stitchingwithcarol4 күн бұрын
Hi Sheila lol the reason it was dark is we had a storm which meant grey clouds and rain etc. actual sunrise is approx 8am sunset approx 4 at this time of the year. Except on rainy days 😁❤️

Hello my friend! I am looking forward to see how you use your painted fabrics! Sally's windter wonderland is beautiful. I have enjoyed your company while I am putting away my Christmas decorations. Your gingerbread house is FANTASTIC! I love it sooo much! Would make a beautiful journal cover. Your blue piece would be a gorgeous beachy-mermaid journal cover. Your scene with the buttons would be beautiful in a frame. I think you should list some of your pieces to your Etsy Shop. They are all so beautiful. Oh my goodness seeing Sallys winter wonderland in the end...its sooo wonderful. You are amazing!!! It would have taken me a year to do that! It just tickles me that you completed that project. Loved seeing Sally's summer book...how wonderful and so fun to look back on. Happy new year!!!

Hi Jovi, thank you so much for coming by. I know how busy you have been. I really appreciate all your suggestions. The blue one will probably be a journal cover for sure and yes winter table runner was a project I was determined to finish by Christmas ! a lot of stitching but I loved how it turned out in the end. Can’t wait till next Christmas when I can actually put it out. I may do as you suggest and try a couple of pieces in my Etsy shop I had an actually thought about selling them. Hope you are well. Love and hugs. Carol 🩷🩷

I’ve just now discovered your other channel. I don’t have a sewing machine so I love the idea of hand stitching. Years (and years) ago I made a crazy quilt all by hand and it was so fun and relaxing. I need to get back into it. I love your snowmen/Christmas tree hanging.❤ I love It’s a Wonderful Life. As for more modern ones, I like Love Actually.
