I have one just like yours. She opens the side yard gates, front door and doggie gates. Dog rules do not apply to her. 😂

Yup, had a Skansen giant, smartest and most beautiful schnauzer ever, miss her so! Remember taking her to the farmer’s market for her organic chickens, she was so healthy and beautiful, missing her everyday. 🐕🦺

I have been told potato skins are toxic to dogs. Is this a myth?
@marketpower47853 жыл бұрын
Yes myth. All the vitamins are IN the skin. Why do people eat the skins? Is how I look at it. The inside of potatoes are just carbs not much nutrition just a filler.
@kiara10764 жыл бұрын
I have a question if you dont mind me asking :D When I looked into good foods for a raw diet for a dog, it says that potato's should be only given in minimal amounts for a treat occasionally and that they should always be peeled due to the skin having toxins in it... But I have seen that a lot of people include potatoes every day for their dog so just wanted to see what your opinion on it is since your giving your dog potatoes quite consistently?
@marketpower47853 жыл бұрын
Hi sorry didn’t respond right away. I have not found any issues with the potatoes not certain if that’s true but we do buy the organic gold potatoes. Cook down softer and easier. All the vitamins are in the skin. Especially for sweet potatoes we always include a few. She has been very healthy no issues all these years feeding her the filler. If I don’t give it to her she throws a fit ! She has a super healthy weight and now 7 is still in optimal health !

Thank you for this!! I will be using the cage for feeding now. I can’t believe I never thought of this. I had my girl for 11 yrs and we always had to step in right after she would finish her meal to clean her beard before she dripped blood and food allover the place.. we also had to mop the tiles constantly. Have a 4 month old boy now who’s such a messy eater..

Hello, thank you so much for this great video. I just brought home (2 days ago) one of Sylvia's Giants..."Joy" She's 5 months and very green...but we're learning! I want to keep her on the raw diet but it's all so new. I would have liked to see the finish product after 3 hrs and a video of what her meals look like...6 chicken legs a day..wow..that's alot..what vitamin and supplements do you feed? Again..thank you...Your Giant is elegant!

Hello Patrice. You’re welcome. Oh so happy for you! Sylvia has amazing pups and our baby girl has been everything wonderful in our life. Amazing confirmation and a show queen she is. I do have a way for you to view more of food I’ve shared with people on Sigs page on Facebook. @sigadventures I believe I posted a video on her food and finished product. Definitely give her cholostrum every morning before eating at least 2 caps. It really helps their sensitive digestion. Also at pm feed I give acidophilus depending on strength usually one cap . I also give her a chewable multi vitamin that’s like a treat but most of her vitamins come from her cooked stew where I put all healthy ingredients like gold or red potatoes sweet potatoes carrots spiniach or kale and beef bone in it. Best nutrition! Takes 3 hrs to cook down to a nice thick soupy dish. Give her slice of beef liver at least every other day. We schedule it for Sig very M W F. It’s important for them to have organ meats. Chicken gizzards or like are great too. Can try tripe but that didn’t go over well with Sig first and LaSt time we gave her that. She threw it up. I about threw up myself seeing it ! Congratulations on your new giant ! Lots of energy they do have and trainable. You can bell train her to go out to do business as well.

Hi! Could you tell me what's his diet?
@marketpower47855 жыл бұрын
Juan Pablo Lopez Rischmagui Hi yes. She is on all raw diet. Has been since a pup. We find the raw chicken legs are best easier for her to eat. Thighs tend to be too bulky. But a whole chicken works too. Also raw meats such as venison , beef, beef liver every week, chicken livers or hearts giblets , we switch it up each week so not same meats. We also give her filler with each meal of fresh made stew with beef bone broth cooked in. Carrots potatoes spinach, sweet potato, and sometimes other safe veggies for her to eat. But all cooked. Nothing raw. She also gets puréed pumpkin a big table spoon each meal. Helps with digestion. Also great for immune system. In mornings we give her as a nice topper - raw egg yolk only. Not the whites. Too much egg whites not good for dogs. Great for the coat. We also give her regularly raw beef bones to chew on which cleans the teeth and great rodeo crown to keep her boredom down.

I have a giant schnauzer and at a lost of how to successfully have my GS in raw diet. You you have any suggestions about the kinds of sppliments and food you give your pup. My GS is 4 months today and weights 48lbs as of yesterday :)
@marketpower47856 жыл бұрын
Hello! Congratulations! Yes in addition to the raw diet we maintain for our GS which includes her cooked stew and pumpkin puree daily, and depending on what is available weekly for meats - we alternate between raw chicken legs (2-3 per serving) or ground beef - (1 lb per serving), Raw Liver (with meat 3x/wk), Beef Heart or Chicken gizzards, tripe (can use in place of liver).. We have maintained her on a 2 times / day feeding which has proven to work well for her diet to maintain a healthy strong weight. We also give her in AM - 2 Cholostrum Veg caps "before" she eats. It's like a treat to her, this is most important as especially in pups, helps support their digestion. in the PM we give her an Acidopholus veg cap in her stew or food. She eats it right along with her food. We also give her a chewable multi-vitamin which serves as a treat after her morning outing. Start the day right just like we do! Due to the value of food received in this diet, there are no other supplements required. Our GS just turned 5 last month and she has a healthy solid build and weight of 89-91 lbs. She is a tall girl at 27.5" at shoulder blade. Hope this helps you :) Enjoy your GS! They are the best! Definitely need lots of patience as well. If you would like to see her food when done and her eating, please check out her other video on you tube here is the title: Giant Schnauzer- Bone Crusher Eats her Raw chicken and stew
