I love the Townes Van Zandt version but his isn’t the original. The song was written by Jagger and Richards and released on the Stones’ ‘71 album Sticky Fingers. Townes’ version featured on his album of live covers called Roadsongs which was released in the early 90s. This live version was also used in The Big Lebowski.
