You will be lucky if any of those camiras are still around most golden camiras were complete oil burners and rust buckets.

@billsmith281 some Holden's were good but others were well let's face it rubbish .The camira was one of those the engines did burn oil something about valve guides and they did rust more than most no doubt because Holden cut corners with things like galvanising of the bodies another Holden that wasn't great was the four cylinder commodore I know because my parents owned one of the dam things they ended up buying a Volvo which turned out to be more reliable.

This car is totally ignored by Holden historians. They never feature in any books or publications. They were fully made here so, good or bad, they have their place alongside the others. Any companies high and low points should be there for the reader to ponder and learn about. I actually love the Camiras styling, particularly that of the JE wagon.

I had a Camira in the mid to late 90s and the only trouble it gave me were people telling me it was shit. I wouldn't say I loved the car. But it was fine.

Test drove one in 1991, still driving them in 2020. Greatly under rated Australian car.

@Don dunstan not true. Hated by people who have no idea. Doesn’t matter anymore anyway, because they are prehistoric. Look after something and it will look after you.

This makes me proud to be Australian. I customised my Camira to sport Chevy badges and a full body wrap of"F### Off We're Full" graphics on every panel and the roof and windows. It has a XR8 bonnet bulge and BOVs with a stroker kit. When I put the Altezza taillights on, it's going Top 60 at the 'Nats. My Camira also inspired me to tattoo a Southern Cross tattoo across my face.

We never had one.but it and the equivalent Fiat of the day were that bad it made one thankful for the laser and meteor(Mazda 323 clones)plus the 626 based Telstar and TX5 range from Ford plus corollas and coronas later Camrys from Toyota.
