I often hear this kind of music when I'm sitting in a dentist's chair waiting for some painful procedure. I ask the dentist why she plays this music. Because it relaxes patients, she says. It drives me nuts, I say.

I first heard about Phillip Glass as a South Park joke, now I love hearing his music in the background as I work.

For some reason it is easy for me to find piano solos of the other three, but I have found very few of Primavera Porteno. I really like this rendition of it. Thank you for uploading!

Thank you for sharing. Especially like the latter part of the song. As a small positive critisism, don't overdo the ritenuto's in the first part, a little too much for me personally. Other than that very nice!

I personally believe this is Tiersen’s masterpiece; both the original album and the solo piano version. The pieces fit together so well and with such simple compositional approaches just brim over with vitality and feeling. Your performance is original and stands alone too! Well done. I’m currently learning these and hope to perform them at a recital. I’m trying my own approach but I’m taking notes from your brilliant playing for sure!

This is such an absolutely beautiful piece and you perform it so well. Thank you. I listen to you play this every time I sit down at my computer. Today it just makes me weep. Phillip Glass music has a way of reaching down into the depths of my soul.

This is a slowed down version of Can you hear the Music, as it was shown when Oppie was teaching the student about Quantum Theory and he couldn't yet understand the it yet (he couldn't 'hear' the music) but he was getting there "What do you know about Quantum Mechanics?" "I have a grasp on the basics" "then you're doing it wrong" "Is light made up of particles or waves?" "Quantum Mechanics says it's both, but how can it be both?" "It-can" "It can't" "but it is, it's paradoxical and yet it works" The sound of this OST while Oppie teaches his students who are filled with curiosity and prowess hit me making me fathom the beauty of the human mind. If you pay closer attention even the Background OST's, they tell their own story and when you start hearing them it amplifies your experience tenfold. Ludwig Goransson is a generational talent!

Absolutely, they are the Maestro's very hands .. She can shapeshift at piano .. toward end of this piece .. hair started growing out all over her hands, her face, her chest etc .. 100% Lupine she was .. completely mental !! .. they had to reshoot the video .. a cold shower later, she was fine.. total pro I like that Rani can lose herself in her playing .. Viva el Hania !

I have been listening to this compilation for years, but I recently suddenly got hooked to Morning Passages. I went around listening to a few different versions, including the original as well as other piano covers. And I find that I love yours the best. I has the drama and urgency at the build up that I needed... I used to play the piano but had mostly lost touch since, but yea, I would have played it like that too. Probably even harder, but thank you for this rendition...

#4 was quite fiery. // It's interesting: I"m a degreed musician (pianist), but I only heard a few Phillip Glass pieces in my life. So, I had never heard this before, ever. Though, a few years ago I then discovered Arvo Part, and I began exploring him a great deal. Therefore, hearing the Glass's "Metamorphosis" set here, my mind cannot help but hear some Arvo Part in this. I almost feel that Arvo Part's music is much more feminine, whereas Phillip Glass is a bit stern, if not brash. Rather masculine. Even though they are both sort of text-book minimalist, Arvo Part had a delicacy of melodic line. Sort of like he kept the melody highlighted, whereas the I feel the pieces here are more of a mediation in general. The Metamphosis set sounds like Rock & Roll...if it had never been born. These pieces literally sound like a fetal Jimmi Hendrix pushing curiously against his wet, warm, embryonic surroundings. Without judgement. // Arvo Part's music HAD judgment. That's why he often wrote for the Mass. Great job on this recording! And for anyone interested in my note-to-color music theory and my Theory of Pitch Psychology, do find me here at: _The Acoustic Rabbit Hole_

Beautiful rendition. Can you please advise where you bought the midi for Mad Rush? I can't seem to buy it anywhere online. I'm trying to learn this piece via synthesia. Many thanks, Minh from Melbourne Australia
@coversartАй бұрын
Thanks! To be honest, I've never purchased a MIDI file from anywhere. I simply recorded the audio, and in the process, I also captured the MIDI data for the subsequent creation of this video.
