The Charger hemi 265 E49. Its my aussie muscle weapon of choice. Oboxious rebel 6 cyl. That farts on clevo V8's in everything but top end speed. 🖕 It would be the princible quality weapon of choice. For an evil overlord of wealth & taste. Hint. If satan had to choose an Aussie muscle car to roll in . That would be the ONLY choice. GOD HIMSELF KNOWS I'M RIGHT!

Dumbest shit I've heard in years. 1.commodores didn't exist when this falcon did its rival was the Kingswood GTS and Monaro GTS 2. ford dominated this era of Australian motorsports "who is Alan Moffat?". 3. Commodores sucked a big bag of dicks until the VH at the earliest though I would say they really didn't hit their stride until the VT.

@The_Last_Ninja I have an lv2 code 304 vk t5 gear box and borgwarner diff. I've had it for 18 years. I love it, it's a tough car, but it's no phase three gtho. The xy falcons in general were great cars. Sure my commodore probably handles a little better. But that's because it's a newer car. I know a man that has an xy wagon with a 351, top loader and nine inch. I love it.

Would be nice to have as a collectible but today just about any LS-engined car would have that engine beat and active suspension would do better.

Back when we had an F-Body club (over 300 members in the city and teamed up with track meets from another city), we had quite a few Firehawks in the club. I was a member from about 99-04 and helped form the club and was over events. It was an awesome time (until I deployed) in my life and having over 100 people show up in the "cruise spot" on any given weekend was a treat. Our track meets were spectacular and every month we had a "dyno day" which actually lasted over the weekend. We would get a discount on dyno runs. Ironically, the only place in town that had a modern dyno was actually a Mustang performance shop lol. I had a 1994 Z28 with headers, cat-back and a Powerdyne supercharger. The car only had 14k on it!! I was always being hassled to switch up from the LT1 and convert over to the LS1 "catfish camaro" but just couldn't do it. I dynoed with that setup at about 320whp and was finally able to break into the 12s at the 1/4 mile. The LS1 SS Camaros and WS6's used to pull about 300whp with a cat back. I remember when this guy brought in a Firehawk. Basically at the time you had Trans-Am, the WS6 Trans-Am, and you had the Formula Firebirds. Lots of guys liked modding the Formulas because they weighed less for the track. This Firehawk was the first one we had seen dynoed and it was a 2001 with nothing added to it. It dynoed 330whp which shocked everyone because that meant GM underrated the HP numbers. At the track, this guy ran it on drag radials for 12.8's all day long. It was faster than the SS and WS6 with some really good drivers even with headers and exhaust. I REALLY wanted a Firehawk for a long time...but ended up with another LT1 car I converted to an LT4 with a turbo kit and all kinds of goodies. This guy ended up going nitrous on the car and completely blowing up his engine when he tried to race an R1 on the highway with a 250shot on the stock engine. Guy ended up getting the 2001 Lingenfelter z06 Corvette with the turbo on it and just showed up to meets. Never raced the car.

The Mopar 426 Hemi Gen 2 should be the ultimate engine, the sound, the power potential, the cost, the weight, the size, there are no piston engines of similar displacement that can crank out 11.000-12.000 hp

The ZL-1 needed to be priced closer to the "SS" and the SS closer to the 6 cylinder Camaros. If that would've happened GM would've outsold the Mustang and still be in production.

I was born in 1968, so can't relate to these cars. By the time i could drive, they were way out of date, yet they still generate endless media attention. My first car was an XE Falcon, a 3-3 four speed. These rarely rate a mention these. Days, yet i can better relate to them. I'm all XY'd out. They were more for the previous generation, but do they even look at channels like this nowadays?

The XE was well and truly in the demise of performance era of the Falcon which continued for another decade at least. There’s vertically nothing iconic about a XE, although I would think the 351 version would be quite desirable and rare now..

Great car, but as someone who built four of them for racing between 1969 and 1971, it took 3 months and another $10k to make one race ready. In fact we imported the engines from Charlotte Ford and reinstalled the originals when we sold them. As stock, they were little more than GTs with some extras for homologation.

There were about 100 upgrades from the GT..the suspension was tuned for performance ...they were basically a race car straight off the showroom floor...give me a HO any day over any truly over rated Ferrari , Porsche ,Mercedes etc ...at least they wouldn't fall to bits and cost a mint to fix..
