Que hermoso soundtrack y triste a la vez, pueden decirme lo que quieran pero para mi la mejor pareja para Inuyasha era Kikyo, Inuyasha y ella compartieron sus momentos de soledad, ella siempre lo amó de verdad. 💔 Inuyasha: "... Kikyo, lo siento. Tu me necesitabas y no pude salvarte..." Kikyo: "... Viniste por mi, eso fué suficiente..." Una de las escenas mas desgarradoras de todo el anime, con Akame Ga Kill también fué terrible, más por la muerte de Mine. Ese beso de Tatsumi y ella fué épico, demostrandose el amor que se tenían el uno hacia el otro.

I hated Kikyo as a kid But now rewatching at 25 I completely understand her She's a very complex character and essentially a spirit filled with hate and sadness I actually think Kagome should've left when she realised her feelings for Inuyasha as she knew Inuyasha would choose Kikyo

Upon rewatching the part when Kikyo dies, it rubbed me the wrong way that Kagome became petty after Inuyasha ran to Kikiyo in her final moments. Even after he was still mourning her. I feel like it was a bittersweet closure for the two, where Kikyo finally found peace and solace in Inuyasha finding her, and Inuyasha definetly needed this moment to I think be able to accept what happened and then fully move on and live on. I know Kagome is also just acting on her teenager feelings, but I still wish Kagome had been sympathetic and understanding, because how could you not be inspite of your feelings? It seemed so selfish to me how she handled it afterwards. Love Kagome, but c'mon :/

I feel the power of inuyashas heart in this song and it hurts so much. Kikyo was such a powerful and excellent character. She's literally my fav among any else. Rip kikyo

I first hated her alot for obvious reasons But when I rewatched the show again and ACTUALLY tried to see her character as a sympathetic one because she was supposed to one and i realized that she was never wrong with her actions because everything that happened to her was truly tragic and anybody would become bitter after what they have already gone through and were forced to become to the world of the living only to feel more pain Kikyou's character was truly beautiful and i cried a lot when she died for the last time in the arms of the person she loved the most Kikyou deserved better period!

Every time I watch Kikyo's death scene I cry. Thinking about her hardships and her love for Inuyasha being so strong it transversed 500 years into the future.

This brings back so many memories, it just breaks me to the core hearing it. At the same time, somehow, it is also therapeutic as I hear the song once more 💔

Kikyo was easily my fav character behind Sesshomaru.

when i was a kid i didnt understand anything but now i rewatched it i shed tears.

Rewatched the series as an adult after watching it on adult swim as a kid. When her passing scene in the Final Act happened and her theme started, I was bawling like a baby. Such a beautiful yet tragic ending

The writer or director knew the worth of Kikyo to the utmost, hence why during her last moments this song was added to the background..this masterpiece of a song is a perfect blend with Kikyo's character and her tragic backstory, my favourite character in the show were Naraku, Sesshōmaru and finally Kikyo, but Kikyo had the most complex and beautiful dynamics for a character than any other characters in the show...except maybe Naraku.

God bless Kikyo and make the angels led her in paradise where she will finally found peace 😥

“I’ve finally become an ordinary woman.” I sobbed… she deserved so much better. She didn’t deserve everything that hit her in the first place, despite her wrongdoings afterwards. She just wanted to be ordinary, happy, in love. When I was younger, I didn’t see her pain. But all of it was manipulated and stolen from her… breaks my heart to this day.

I seriously still don't understand why Kikyo gets so much hate all she wanted to be was an ordinary woman who wanted to be with Inuyasha but sadly Naraku ruined that and so did the jewel.

I never wanted Kikyo to die but her fate was already set. This scene made me cry so muchhh!!!

Im now 36 years since I watched I was only 16. Still crying like a bitch. So emotional greatest love I could not find any anime else nor movies.

It was the fact that one day, they would be free of their mortal world, and know peace. Under the dark lords it became something that was feared, but deep down even the Valar, immortal heavenly beings, envied it. At long last, Kikyo was allowed to partake in the Gift of Men. While half of her could live on as Kagome, her own half could at last know peace.

Kikyo death theme was my favorite part of the series.

Doesn't it sound as if this music was influenced by the traditional women's working song known as the "Spinning Song" which would be fitting as it's sometimes considered a Japanese song though it probably goes back to China. We had the " Spinning Song" for my mother's funeral. This sounds so close that I would say it's a direct adaptation of the "Spinning Song", almost note for note in parts and yes it's a very sad song, even sadder if you listen to the lyrics.

The "Mature" Person can understand Kikyo.... Only after growing up, i understand Her ...And even loved her

Sesshoumaru and Kikyo are the real heroes in the story. If wasn't for them, the protagonists wouldn't have defeated Naraku.

No anime has impacted me on their music as Inuyasha. I grew up to this series and the soundtrack is just as memorable than the characters created by its original manga artist. One of my favorite composition by Kaoru Wada who understood the characters really well.

1:58 - to end, I swear, the leitmotif for this part, Futari No Kimochi, is everywhere in Asian songs. As a Khmer, this leitmotif reoccurs SO much in Cambodian songs, like a lot of Khmer songs have this. Not only that though, but Thailand (which is next to Cambodia/Kampuchi), also has a lot of songs with this leitmotif. I do know a few Chinese songs have it too, but other than that, I'm not sure if any other Asian countries' have songs with this leitmotif.

I just finished watching Inuyasha for the first time recently, and the scene where Kikyo dies hit me hard. I guess I really am a masochist for listening to this so soon, but since I'm already here, let the tears fall.
