I only have t_eye_wet_Normal and t_normalNoise .. I also have the same problem with the defaultdiffuse_tc_masks. Dont have it.. Could you help me?

@@DevilFruitJourney you don't need that texture, beacuse is only a placeholder, put for example the textures of the grass from quixel bridge, and is should work nice, for me works.

There is nothing boring about project management! I'm glad you made a video on making a game design document-it's an integral part to any large dev project and I know lots of beginner's and smaller devs skip this step altogether. But it is super important to organise your ideas in order to stay consistent. ALSO I realised that a game doc is really helpful for promotion/marketing later down the line as you have already written out what your game is about and can easily repurpose the text in blogs, social media posts, and much more!

hi, i have followed the first video and this one up to time 26 mins but when i add the last heightmap it just checkerboards the whole landscape, *doesnt matter what order i do them in the 4th import always checkerboards, which my understanding means its run out of samples i used 4k *high textures at first, and then switched to lower 2k *medium ones, and still same i am assuming that this is due to the "textures" not being in Sample nodes and therefore not being able to be switched to shared: wrap. am i correct and what is the work around as i see on your video it worked perfectly fine. thanks

Check out all including material functions in the material. You need to change manually all texture samples into wrapped version inside the functions. Texture bombing function and single texture bombing functions include texture samples.

The material layers were created successfully but in 25:10 when you reimported the textures, mine remain blank. The reimported textures did not applied to my environment. Why?

When I create that material instances and applied to the landscape, my whole damn Unreal crashes. Fun! :(

That's tragic. Sometimes UEditor crashes when you are trying to connect pins for some reason. Save often. If it happens every time at the same point, then you need to check out your asset and find fatal errors like infinite loops or oversized texture/polygons etc.

Okay, nvm, I found the solution. The problem was, I think its based on what PC i'm editing or its just Unreal 5 being stubborn, when I turned off all of those lighting effects, the 4k and 1k material layouts were able to create successfully without any crash. After enabling the lighting (no crash), all the materials are applied to my environment. :D

i like the tools, but they just missed the bevel option to increase segment. Otherwise it is not a problem for us to model in unreal engine, as boolean is doin perfect job

Great video, helped me a lot, the only thing I'm stuck at is the part where you use your master landscape material, I don't know how you set it up and I'm having trouble creating the part you can see at 14:28, would be very thankful if you could help me out with that :)
unfortunately we all have the same problem, that when we import our materials, our Materials in the Layers (landscape mode) show us just a blank material without our assigned material@@UnrealEngineEnjoyer

how do I install it, there is not matching versions for the plufin, I tried 5.1.1 and 5.1 metahuman bc that was the closest one, but doesn't work

Metahuman is merged with Quixel Bridge, and QB is default plugin, so all you need is the QB window. Go to "window", then click on "Quixel Bridge". Then in the bridge window you will find "Metahuman".

looks nice!! , i did a similar thing, but instead of the cliffs you used, i used around 3-5 different /semi-large) nanite rocks then scrambled then into one block, so no matter the rotation and collision into the next one, it just simply merges and looks different. Ur process surerly is a lot faster. nice tho, like to see stuff as this

If you followed video properly, you just need to create material instance from original material, then open it and in the parameters you will find texture parameters where you can add your textures.
