This anime depicts the subtleties of the human heart, so please use your imagination when watching it. If you use your imagination, you will be able to see things that you couldn't see before. In other words, you will be able to understand the feelings of the characters. I have watched it over and over again. In particular, Himmel's proposal in episode 14 was the most beautiful, but at the same time, the saddest scene. Everyone can see that it was a beautiful scene. But what makes it sad is that Himmel proposed to Frieren, but Frieren didn't realise it was a proposal at the time. It is only in this story, after Himmel's death, that Frieren becomes aware of Himmel's feelings for the first time. And in this anime, the fact that "the time that humans and elves live is different" is a really sad thing. Humans and elves have such different lifespans that they cannot live the same lives. That's why I think Himmel didn't say anything to Frieren. My heart aches when I think about what Himmel must have been feeling for 50 years since he defeated the Demon King. The sadness was diluted by the inclusion of gags, but it was also a really sad scene that would have made you cry. It's different from the world of Re:Zero. In the first episode, Frieren was fiddling with a ring that was presumably bought for her by Himmel. And while the lotus flowers on Fern's bracelet were open, the lotus flowers on Frieren's ring were closed and in bud.

Chainsaw Man may have ended but Frieren continues on! Sein is pretty cool and I thought the intro was hilarious as Frieren just watches him thinking of the spell to get him out.

the "next season" will actually be a movie! it's called "Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc" and it's currently in production with no release date rn, I think after this movie though, we'll get another season? who knows!

When your own father calls you a failure, then that is how you see yourself! Stoltz clearly knew that this fight was to the death, and that no one would survive. Little Stark and his wooden sword could not help in any way, so Stoltz knows that it is better that one member of the family survive, and he tells Stark to leave. Himmel without the Sacred Sword was still a hero and Stoltz for the love of his younger brother and family is another true hero. This episode clearly answers the questions, "What is a hero? Who is a hero?"

8:55 The thing is , thst is not the same world as us . Stark was 17 when he killed a dragon by himself , which 17 year old , in our world can do that ? No one . Means the standard in their world is different . Probably the warriors in that village must have killed some sort of monster , no matter how small , by the age of 5 .

Stark's brother is the best. So bittersweet. Fern and Stark getting along as usual. That was a great story about the Hero Sword. Himmel is awesome for not feeling bummed about not having drawn the sword. I really like how the village leader was standing on her tippy toes to try and be intimidating. They left the village and moved onto another village, I believe. The animation was fun with Frieren lying on the bed, reading and kicking her feet and the potion bit was great as well.

I hope you will watch Hell's Paradise(Jigokuraku).

I really like this first season. Power is my favorite character. So whack. Kinda like a Harley Quinn character and I really like the little found family Denji, Aki, and Power have become we see in the end credits. Let's go, Gun Devil! It was so bittersweet to see Himeno in control of the Ghost Devil and save Aki. Maybe she'll always be around in some shape or form. Great reaction and aren't you glad you pushed past Denji's dreams to make it to this point?

This episode is a good example of Frieren's lack of thoughtfulness. The Graf invited Frieren and her party to stay with him for as long as she liked, but with Winter coming on, she decides to take everyone into the Schwer mountains, all the time lecturing them how Winter is so dangerous. They then are trapped by an early Winter storm, and Stark develops a dangerous case of hypothermia. They would have all died had they not found that cabin. Frieren did not think this through. Should have stayed with the Graf over Winter and then left in the Spring.

Half a day ago, there was sad news in Japan. Atsuko Tanaka, who provided the voice for Flamm, had been battling illness for the past year, but her son, voice actor Hikaru Tanaka, announced that she had passed away on the 20th. Atsuko, who has a unique voice, was active not only in anime, but also in dubbing many foreign films. On a personal note, the most memorable voice of hers is Motoko Kusanagi (Major) from Ghost in the Shell. Please rest in peace...

(Even during the world wars, spanish flu (world war 1 only) and exposure were major killers). Nowadays, deaths due to hypothermia, cholera, starvation are very rare during war. But historically several countries derived their strength (and still do to an extent) from their terrain. Switzerland is famously neutral and hasn't been invaded in 200 years because its borders are mostly mountainous, or based on large rivers, meaning the defenders get massive advantages in fighting. Russia also benefitted historically from its terrain, as prior to the mass-proliferation of military vehicles in the second half of the 20th century, it'd take *weeks* for a large army to reach their capital when unopposed. Months or even years if the Russians actually fought you for, by which time winter would've taken hold and killed a good portion of your soldiers, leaving you open to counter-attack.

You’re not being fair with Denji, tbh. Cutting all of his monologues and stuff, he’s a pretty complex character, with a social inability. Treat him nice, cause with due time you’ll see that HE IS THE VICTIM.

I love how denji this episode shades people who judge his dreams, without understanding his side. “Guess your hot dreams makes you fancy shit, huh?”

He real does die in the fucking worst way

I really liked the aftermath stuff and that they spent time there to help them recover and bury their dead. Kraft is a very interesting character in that he seems to be so much older than Frieren and that he's done so much more in his past that people have just forgotten about. We know Frieren didn't do much before joining the party of heroes because she followed Flamme's instruction of laying low and fighting demons. Great stuff and a wonderful reaction.

If i remembered correctly that lady in hospital was Himeno's sister.

So great! Like Frieren said, if Aura had used all her soldiers it really would have made it hard for her but Aura was too confident and Frieren tricked her into using the scales. I loved all the flashbacks here and getting a lot of Flamme and the world building for demons and magic. Seeing Himmel recruit Frieren using the same words Frieren said to Flamme was gold. But here you can see that Frieren's love of magic has faded over her past 50 years of training with Flamme. I truly believe that Flamme could see the future for Frieren. She's such a great character.
