I've just got one from the nursery, and it has a lot of branches. It is summer now, though, so should I cut off other branches to train it to the tree form?

Is it wrong to cut 1-2 inch of aloe Vera leave from the top when we need some aloe Vera for our use.
@NorCal-GardeningАй бұрын
The best way to harvest is to peel from the bottom like i have shown in the video, If you cut on the top it will make the the remaining leaf portion to turn brown and rot

Let me tell you something. I’ve had cherry trees, my entire life and I’m 46 years old. Every single year they have eaten them before they got ripe until 2023 and they would not touch them. Now it’s 2024 I got three full trees of cherries and not a single bird will touch them. Don’t tell me it’s because they’ve got another sourceof food that’s bullshit. Somebody answer my damn question please. Why the hell do you think birds are not eating the cherries?

If you’re not in a rush to grow a super tall plant, would more suckers be beneficial since that’s more fruiting flowers?
@NorCal-GardeningАй бұрын
Pruning suckers helps channelize the energy into fruit production instead of leafy growth. Also helps with more airflow in the plant.

@@NorCal-Gardening Early spring is when fruit trees bloom out so pruning then wipes out the crop as the fruits of trees I see only bloom on one year old growth stems.

We have 2 that have been in the ground for 2 years (this will be their 3rd spring). They’re about 3.5ft tall now. We have never pruned them. 😅 But I would like it to be a strong tree as opposed to a messy bush. How much should we prune now? Is it safe to do so since we haven’t pruned for 2-3 years/ever? Thank you for this video! Very helpful & encouraging!
@NorCal-Gardening4 ай бұрын
They are pretty resilient, you can prune in spring. Early spring to late winter is the best time. Pls follow the tips on the video and don't prune more than 1/3rd of the tree. Happy gardening.

How far from your house you can plan the tree how far from the foundation of the house ?
@NorCal-Gardening4 ай бұрын
Italian Cypress tree roots go deep and spread about 18 to 24" wide. They are not considered invasive. To be on the safer side leave at least 10' from the house foundation.

Hi I have so many fruits last year. Thaey are too sour. Any tips for sweeter pomegranate pls? Thanks
@NorCal-Gardening4 ай бұрын
Suggest to wait for it to fully ripe. It will usually form ridges and then you pluck it. Premature harvest might cause it to be sour
@ineed2p6yearsago604 ай бұрын
@@NorCal-Gardening it's probably because of the variety and not premature harvest... Usually lighter shades of pomegranate such as yellow and pale pink aren't sweet but are known to be much more nutritious
