I was very honored to have known Werner he was an amazing person. He taught me to never give up on education and always inspired me to continue to teach others about the holocaust and about ending prejudice and hatred so I was very thankful to have known Warner. He was a great man may he rest in peace, and now I’ve met Steve his son. He is an incredible person, and I will always continue to remember Warner and the legacy he left behind.

He shared his story countless times with my students over the years, and they walked away feeling inspired to be upstanders for change.
