Thank you for switching to a nozzle that doesn't require the heater and thermistor to be removed and reinstalled when replacing the nozzle. I assume the model cooling fan can be removed when the extruder is installed on the printer so the nozzle replacement doesn't require removing the extruder as shown in the video? Please charge another $10 for the printer and use standard Volcano nozzles rather than making the nozzle slightly different to force customers to buy Sovol nozzles. The market will reward you for making the customer happy, and customers want standard nozzles we can buy from multiple companies. For example, I'd like to use a 1 mm MicroSwiss CHT high flow nozzle on the SV06 Ace, but Sovol only offers 0.2 to 0.8 mm nozzles, and no CHT high flow nozzles. While discussing pleasing the customer, please don't make a custom version of the slicer for each printer. Spend that effort to develop GOOD profiles for the PrusaSlicer and OrcaSlicer that we're already using. Thank you for embracing open source, Sovol. That is a huge factor that keeps me buying Sovol printers.

Thank you for this video. After a month, my SV08 is under extruding. I probably pulled some molten plastic up into the extruder gears when unloading filament, but I need to get into the extruder to see what's wrong and fix it. These simple short videos are very helpful.

Loosening and tightening the 2 screws underneath wasnt enough for the gantry to flush, I had to do it to the 2 big screws on top

This video is very different to the paper documentation that comes in the box (Bought Dec 2024). Some step in the video are not in the manual. Skimming a lot of steps there guys. Not helpful. I needed to know where the case fan plugs back in after I I stalled the extraction fan wiring. Not shown here at all.

My SV08 has more than 1 mm of warping across the bed. It's far too much for Klipper bed mesh Z height compensation magic to fix. I wish there was an improved bed that is flatter, doesn't warp when heated, can be pre-stressed with leveling screws so it warps flatter when heated, but isn't a $260 stress reliewed cast aluminum tooling plate. I love that Sovol cost reduced the Voron 2.4 for manufacturing, but in the case of the print bed, the Sovol engineers took cost cutting too far. I would have gladly paid another $50 for a bed that I could quickly adjust to be within 0.2 mm of being flat across the entire 350 mm x 350 mm build surface. I guess I'll finish drilling the holes in the magnetic sheet to access the screws that will allow me to disassemble the hotbed assembly so I can install 3D printed spacers to reduce the taco warping in my SV08's build plate. My SV08's camera didn't work but does now, after the last firmware update. The WiFi still doesn't work but I plugged a Vonets WiFi bridge into the SV08's Ethernet port to get the SV08 on the LAN. The warped bed really is the only thing I don't like about my SV08. It's a great printer. It's fast, has a huge build volume and the print quality is very good. It's a good value. I'm designing and 3D printing several items to improve the SV08 which I'll be uploading to Thingiverse and Printables within a few days.

These beds work surprisingly well for being so thin.

I like my SV08 but the camera doesn't always work. Sovol has a page devoted to the problem. They advise checking to ensure the plug is fully connected as some units shipped with hot glue preventing the connectors to be seated properly. Then Sovol recommends ensuring the other end of the USB cable is properly connected to the motherboard, and if that doesn't work, try plugging it into the USB port on the side of the printer. If that doesn't work, try deleting and reinstalling the camera in Klipper. If that doesn't work, sometimes reflashing the MCU will fix it. Sovol would appreciate any info you have on the problem. In other words, hopefully the community will figure out what's wrong and fix it. My camera didn't work. I upgraded the printer's firmware to 2.3.3 and the camera worked. A few hours later it stopped working again. This isn't a problem for me because my printer is next to my computer but this would be a big problem for anyone trying to manage a print farm, or for people who want to use the phone app to remotely monitor a long print job. I would have much rather had a better printer user interface than a camera I don't need that doesn't work. I'll unplug the camera to ensure privacy and security.

Why is the bed not centered on mine? It’s way out and the motor is grinding on the bed for the y axis. How do I recenter the bed?

The SV08 wouldn't connect to my T Mobile Home Internet 5G 2.4 GHz WiFi router. I tried several times with no luck. There are no special characters including spaces in my SSID. No weirdness to the password either. I plugged a Vonets VAP11G-300 WiFi Bridge 2.4GHz WiFi to Ethernet Converter from the big online retailer into the SV08 Ethernet port for data and USB port for power and the SV08 is now on my WiFi network and I'm controlling it from my computer's web browser. I had the electronics cover off to swap to a much quieter Noctua motherboard fan before the initial power and don't remember seeing a WiFi antenna in there. Maybe it's there and I didn't notice it. I'll look more carefully the next time I'm in there. Even if it's there, that's not a good location for a WiFi antenna. There should be an external antenna. The SV08 webcam isn't working but I don't really need a webcam. I'll diagnose that later. I'm currently updating the firmware. My printer was built in late September according to the factory test print files still listed in Klipper, and the most recent firmware was released in June, so I wonder why they didn't upgrade the firmware before shipping the SV08. I haven't printed anything yet, but so far I'm favorably impressed with the apparent value and features of the SV08. I love that Sovol published everything as open source. The Sovol Wiki has pretty good online support. The SV08 probably isn't a good first 3D printer but it seems good for someone who likes to tinker but isn't interested in the full Voron build process. Sovol did a good job cost reducing the Voron 2.4 design for manufacturing to provide good value to the customer.

On previous 3D printers, the brass nozzles printed thousands of hours with non-abrasive filament. If I decide to print TPU, PLA, ABS and PETG as before, I'll probably keep the original setup. If I need a hardened nozzle or need to switch nozzle sizes, I'll probably buy the MicroSwiss hot end that allows me to screw in nozzles without swapping the heater and thermistor, which is a hassle.

Simply do: "Calibrate Z Offset" on LCD display, then "Bed Mesh" on LCD display, then "Auto-Calibrate" = Input Shaping on LCD display Done. On first print adjust Z-Offset by +0.01 or -0.01 increments until perfect first layer. Save config and all is fine. It will Level automaticly on next prints.

Filament change during print when filament roll gets empty is easy. It pauses automatically, when the sensor detects no filament. Then purges old filament and unloads automatically. Opened the top white bowden connector, cut old filament residue and remove from filament sensor. Then removed old filament from bottom bowden tube (already fully unloaded). Closed the white bowden connector again, put new filament in filament sensor and held the filament lever to grab new filament with extruder teeth. Optional extrude. Resume print from Klipper screen (Play) or LCD screen.

Sorry guys, if I see things wrong, but where is a proper air duct(full height walls) from fan to heater? If there no such thing then what the point in such system? It's no wonder that although SH02 has similar heating system as space pi plus it heats 3 times slower.
