My name is Jonathan Jacobs from Limburg, Belgiu. I am a Jacobs from my father's side Johan Jacobs with his father Armand Jacobs, a bricklayer. My father himself was a soldier in the navy for his early adult life schooled as a welder, so was i. He is going to retire a chef/boardmember at a construction company. I myself now live in Malta since less then a year. I found this insanely interesting! Thank you.

How do I know which one is mine?
@CoatofArmsDatabase2 күн бұрын
One should trace their l lineage back as far as genealogical records allow to establish who their earliest ancestors were. After that, one should consult heraldic books and records to determine if that ancestor was granted, or bore, a coat of arms. We can handle this process for you, click here and scroll down for more information: coadb.com/which-coat-of-arms-is-mine

Coats of Arms is not an Irish tradition. This stuff was all invented by the English. It is total rubbish.

I wonder if one actually belonged to one of my ancestors. I've always liked the wing 🪽 symbol like on Captain americas helmet or the flash boots, which is likely based on Hermes depictions.

Reading all the history from Popeyes life as a merchant seaman, instrumental in the 51 lockout in NZ and development of trade union. You're missing another daughter of Richard's Ann warren you didn't get your information right on that one. You need to correct that. Leaving her out can mislead people to believe that Richard had only one daughter he had two Ann and Abigail warren.

Mine came from Udine, which is in the Friuli-Venzia region of North Eastern Italy. Up there it's a mix of cultures because you have Austria to the north and the Balkans to the East. And I'm sure there were plenty of other cultures such as German and French and Swiss and such. And there's so many cultures, countries and Italians from different regions that use that same last name.

Tha hangmans noose around the neck is because Davenports had the power to execute criminals. They were nicknamed the Deadly Davenports. Gramhall Hall was the offical seat of power. The family motto is in Latin but translates to Fortune favors the bold. There is an active Davenport DNA project online for those who wabt to trace their family. And one last bit of family history. The Davenport who founded Davenport, Iowa was not a Davenport. He used that name and ended up being murdered in his house .

I'm a Nix. I've been trying to piece the origins of the name together for decades. The COA with leopard faces is very very similar to the MacNicol COA from Skye. Clan legend says the chief sent warriors to the border and coast to fight the English. Their spoils was a seat in Cumberland. The shield seems to confirm this. The MacNicol COA is identical with hawk heads instead of Leopard faces and sun face on the chevron. The leopard faces symbolize great warriors, and the sunfaces symbolize glory in battle. Seems to fit the legend.
