Love the vids! How is the traction across all the patches near the apexes? Looks kinda slick
@PrestonA750

Depends who you ask, personally I felt some of the imperfections in T8 & T9. One guy lowsided in T9 on the black patch Sunday, word on the street is that racers hit the black patch at speed no problems. I tried picking up the pace through there and found T8 to be the worst with placing the wheel near the apex into a crack and almost losing the front several times. The black patch held traction just fine with SC2 slicks.

I'm glad you're ok, bike can be fixed, 2 is a different turn, trick is to enter it as fast as you can based on skill level and modulate because it's uphill and you don't want to lose speed, I walked the Track with Coach Keith Code and there are 2 bowls at Willow, entering 2 and also 9, in other words, positive banking and you can take it faster than it looks, 9 is a little different because it decreases on exit, keep it in the middle till the Apex, easier said than done, lol, you were wide everywhere which I understand, throwing it away at a Track day is hard but I'm sure you learned a lot, watching you I really wanted to coach you, kind of a free for all and drastic skill level differences out there,, I clocked you with 37's, I'm sure your faster now, very good time under the conditions, we ran 36's 37 years ago on a Honda 750 Superbike, top guys ran 29's that year and 18's are the benchmark now, went from a Novice to an Expert rated rider with the AMA, ARRA and AFM, I wanted to tell you that popping a downshift into 8 is never done, it's a top speed turn obviously, it takes time and balls to sink it in there, but roll into 5th and modulate the throttle or bog in 6th, chopping the throttle there could kill you, you upset the bike and unload and load it by doing that, going down in 8 is not pretty, I've seen guys go down at 135 mph there, scary stuff, lines were very wide, right before you crashed you got turn 1 right, Willow is all momentum, everybody goes the same speed in the slow stuff, no need to be a Hero, lol, 2, 8 and 9 are where fast time are made at Willow, big balls, big risk and big reward, shiny side up and rubber side down, Cheers! Ride Safe...Mad Respect!!!!

Very much appreciate the feedback! Big Willows a beast of a track this was my first day here and only a few sessions in cause of bike problems. Next time there I'll try and keep all that in mind, especially about T8 and that downshift what you're saying makes a lot of sense. That track favors the hell of out confidence. I'm just a trackday rider planning to start racing in the near future, it's absolutely insane to think about shaving 20 seconds off these laps. All the respect in the world to fast guys such as yourself. That's mighty impressive.

You got this, I was told the same from all the fast guy's, I slowly became faster, just get your reference points and you will do great, Enjoy the Track day's, stay safe and best wishes...Cheers Brother! @@PrestonA750

I prefer the Lucky Duck dove myself. The attachment point is hands down better as well as the batteries are tighter in the body than the mojo.
