Awesome! I have the same exact guitar and I love it. My favorite Squier, and I have a fairly large collection of desirable Squiers.

I really like most of the Squiers I've played, too. I currently have 3 other Jaguars also that are Squier. Had a 4th, sold it to my buddy.

Haha, crazy synchronicity moments. Sometimes, when I'm just putting these up just for my band guys to review, I'll pick an off title just so it doesn't get snagged by algorithm. Foiled again, lol. Thanks for the praise.

Mid Michigan is where we are! If you ever want to make the leap, I'd love to have a dedicated singer who's into all those bands that we love. A dedicated singer would open up a lot more stuff, too. There's a bunch of Smiths songs we know on guitar and bass, but I can't play both guitar and sing them. I just want to be the guitar guy! Your audition awaits😉!

This is great! What effects are you using?

Clip from 3 years ago, honestly can't remember. It would have been all from a Boss ME 50 multi-effect unit, flange and compression, couldn't begin to tell you what distortion settings. Through a1966 Fender Bassman amp. As long as you have a flange pedal and some type of distortion, you should be able to fiddle around with settings and get a reasonably Cure like tone that works for this. Then, throw in a spoonful of unhappiness and call it good.

Sure this is right? Sounds nice but different from the original.🤔

1 note is different in the first 3 or 4 bars when it switches over to this riff theme on the original. I just went back and listened more closely. It does seem to switch over to what I'm playing here after that. I originally posted this (and most of my videos) as ways to share what I had been learning on my own with my bass player bandmate who lives out of town. I post songs we are working on after practices also so that we can go back and listen to what we need to improve. I never really intended or expected this rough video in my pajama pants to amass 11k views, but I guess folks love their Smiths. I know I do, lol. Thanks for taking the time to comment. It did make me go back and listen more closely to that part of the song.

@@imaginaryboy4390I think it’s awesome how you recognized you were wrong and not only admitted it but learned from it. Lot of guitar players on KZbin get defensive with that kind of thing. Hats off to you sir and great playing
