That's completely correct attitude imo. I've also stated taking things way more seriously after I grow up. Though, in this case, when you made it from a tutorial, the copyright of that model is your own. It's always the person who pressed the shutter release button, who gets the copyrights for the photo, even when someone else aimed the camera and prepared all settings.

How do you export it for a game along with its textures??

Hey, if the game engine supports glass materials and refraction, then it only can be used there with the internal objects. It's heavily layered object tho, so idk how would it work. Depends on game engine ig. You might want to make simplified version of the model for the game to avoid having too much polygons and stuff. Other than the geometry related features, all material features such roughness map and metallic map can be baked in blender to textures, if you just have unwrapped the model.

@MrSorbias I'm currently using Unreal Engine 5 and I know it take FBX files I'm not to sure about OBJ, I know it doesn't take .blend files but the crystal didn't have too many polygons so it was perfect but I saved it and I came back to it and it was grey and it didn't have the pink I originally had for and I tried a lot of things to restore it but it didn't work, so really I guess I'm trying to say how could I export it and keep all the effects that has without that grey thing happening again?

@@Vstackz122 I think you need to build the whole material again in UE somehow. Sadly I am not an expert with UE, so I can only guess.

Was trying to randomize emission shader colors on a string of lights and little did I know it wouldn't work without using parenting. If I hadn't seen this video I would have kept banging my head against object info node applying to the root instance (where the array was applied) and not the duplicates. Thank you for leaving this up for 6 years!

I always update to the newest Blender version with the public release and sometimes I also join beta, if I for some reason have a feeling that I need to test some new feature as fast as possible. I don't typically do "testing new features" types of videos.

When i go to add the vertices up the first cylinder, it's only showing 3 faces of the shape. Not completely wrapping the object, unfortunately 😢

For what it's worth, I really enjoyed your blender videos and never had any issues with your accent. My favorites were the cupcake, raspberry, and piñata videos. Anyway... keep on keeping on.

You can’t install it into your programs folder - try installing into documents or something and it should work!

I left out the metallic, added some volume fog + fog glow and streaks in the compositor and it looks amazing. Great tutorial!
