I'm sure Skrillex would still be recognized today he's just no longer the biggest musician in the world anymore. Plus he's still a major producer for a lot of other major artists - he's legendary and he still has a hand in the sound of a lot of music today.

He‘s literally still producing and performing live lmao. He had a song with J Balvin come out last year and it has like 300M+ streams on spotify, bro‘s made music with Bieber and Don Toliver and probably many others as well. He ain‘t as popular as he once was but he hasn’t fallen off

You get Skrillex in your studio and he can make a song sung by Justin Bieber and Bieber never even has to show his face at the studio let alone actually sing

@@davidad6460 what kinda dumb way is that to look at modern music production? „Uhhh music production technology has improved and become more accessible therefore you can ignore any and all skill as it‘s not required“. If it were that easy then neither of us would be arguing about this right and would instead be multimillionaire pop producers. I don‘t like Bieber‘s music but it goes without saying that he‘s talented fuck, and most artists that are incredibly popular in the modern age are talented as well.

@@davidad6460 As someone who both plays instrumental music and produces electronic music, have even done classical composition and Jazz, producing music electronically is literally the hardest of all of them. sure each field has essentially endless skill sealings, but I'm going to (perhaps wrongly) assume you find classic rock or blues the superior form of music, when they are literally some of the easiest.
