This is exactly what this song needed. 1989 is my favorite album by far, but this is one of the weakest songs on the album for me. The production wasn’t that good, and the vibe it was giving didn’t fit the lyrics or even the album itself. This was so much better than the original, and it really sets the tone nicely with everything else. The lyrics make more sense with a less upbeat sound, and I love the little thing where you added the opted down “now that we don’t talk” a few extra times. Keep it up!
