He said he tortured ducks and other animals? The interviewer didn’t even question this.

It’s sad that some people are basically hardwired to self destruct. Flynn would have aged well if he took better care of himself. He couldn’t believe that the best is often yet to come.

Top voice .. curious fella who's life was cut short by addictive traits brought on by boredom...he made other films stars of the time look boring in comparison...lived about a full a life as possible and rang it's neck for the last 30 years of it... interesting fella...

One of the most underrated actors of all time. Well before “Too Much, Too Soon,” Flynn had done “That Forsyte Woman” and “Elizabeth and Essex.” He displayed his musical talents in “Lilacs in the Spring” and “Thank Your Lucky Stars.” This interview is a pleasure to hear, but Flynn sounds tired. Pity the photograph didn’t match his appearance!

During the production of "The Hunter " while filming in Chicago McQueen chose a young teenager to interview him . Turned out to be his last interview. The kid said McQueen was very nice and respectful toward him . Told him to stay in school and to get good education. There is a story written about it I assume it's available online somewhere. Think Marshall Terell interviewed the kid .
@CinemaMusic5527 күн бұрын
Great to hear this story. Around the same time McQueen found a ball made of paper wrapped in wire that the kids had been using as a baseball. He asked stuntman Lauren Janes to go out and buy a load of baseballs, catchers mits and bats. They were left out for the kids to find and Lauren said Steve was made up as he watched them from inside on of the film productions vans. They had no idea who had done this for them.

This sounds like the interview with Tony Thomas who wrote the Films of Errol Flynn .......amazing to find this rare interview......sadly Hollywood ignored him then......and still does.......he is one of the greats of all time. I hope one day he will be acknowledged for his true greatness......thank you for this.

I think he is acknowledged by the people who appreciate his films and him as the star he was.

I feel like there are not enough interviews with Errol.
@CinemaMusic552 ай бұрын
@@Imtiff True. There doesn't seem to be many interviews from the height of his fame in the 1930s/40s. He seemed to do more in the 1950s towards the later part of his career. He was always interesting to listen to and took the Hollywood star thing with a pinch of salt. A great character.

Such a great storyteller and so classy. He is very honest, kind, engaging and very classy with how he carries himself and responds. Whoever that man was in the audience who stated that he did not respect him as a actor because all he does in film is shooting and killing other than this recent film this man although entitled to his opinion was insulting to one of the finest American storytellers try Papillion, Great Escape, Cincinnati Kid, Thomas Crown Affair, etc. Brilliant actor with class ❤❤❤❤❤

The guy was my hero, hard man but a good man he didn't take any BS but was also kind and charitable. I read he use to have clauses added to contracts for 100 pair of jeans, 50 bike's etc etc...and these were all donated to the Boys Republic school he attended and he use to go and give them talks. 100% American hero...still miss him to this day..RIP Steve.

Pity Steve McQueen died so young at 50 3 years later after this interview pity there wasn't a cure for cancer in 1980 because Steve McQueen had 30 to 35 years lelf in him at least. It would have been interesting to see how Steve McQueen would have got on in 1980's

I'm writing this on 12/17/23 and AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE is currently available here on KZbin Movies & TV. It's really an excellent production. McQueen is excellent -- in fact, the entire cast is fantastic. Great "little" production and I highly recommend it.

"An Enemy of The People" is a great film. I think much of the lack of interest in it was because McQueen played totally against type. I love his last two films too.
