hi again dan just want to no the reason for drilling shock piston out but then running heavier oil why not just go lighter oil on standard pistons ? just asking as never ran a tekno before and any idea when the parts are due in for the front link mod
@thelifeofarcracer721
@thelifeofarcracer721 3 жыл бұрын
We drill the pistons to reduce pack and increase oil to keep the dampening right with the springs we use. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you are running the same springs as us.

I drive a Kyosho MP9e modified...thinking about nitro, what’s the 5 things to think about when buying an 1/8th scale buggy, what key things do you have to do setup the buggy, is it easy to learn please?
@thelifeofarcracer721
@thelifeofarcracer721 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Neil. Nitro is ace but also frustrating without good help. Best advice would be to go to your local club and see what most run there. Key things to think about are parts availability and help at the track. Key things to success are just maintenance and staying on top of the clutch and engine. There are many good videos on you tube for engine tuning/maintenance and clutch maintenance so that helps a lot.
@neilkapoortennis
@neilkapoortennis 3 жыл бұрын
@@thelifeofarcracer721 do you think it’s worth getting a ready set and learn that way? I always see predominantly racers talking about the tuning pin that needs to be turned with a flat had screwdriver, presumably you don’t have to take the engines apart all the time...seems simple enough or am I missing something? Do parts break a lot?
