I remember that slow music was a constant amongs games. Even some ganes that I bought in the US "suddenly" started to play slower on my European Mega Drive ^^; Coincidentially, I also made a gameplay of this one a few days ago. Subscribing :)

Sometimes the slower music sounds better to me in some games, this game especially. Just watched your gameplay of it too, you're much better at the game than I am!

The NES version had better sound effects + music. Nobody who rented it for NES at Blockbuster Video would be a fan of this unpolished version on Sega
@classicgaminguk
@classicgaminguk 3 ай бұрын
@@ryanglaser5336 For me, the Sega version is much more faithful to the arcade original, retaining the graphics, soundtrack and level design. The NES does have more varied music, but just doesn’t quite feel right otherwise. But I might only be saying that because my introduction to the game was in the arcades. If I’d grown up with NES and Adventure Island, I’d probably prefer that today!

I didn't spend much time on this version but I have a lot of fun memories of the this game, adventure Island version, great game. The music and this game will forever be burned into my brain. Makes me think of my mom , when i was 7 she would take me to the bar/eatry, and they had adventure island table top. Never forget those days.

Took a long time to find this game after so many years, even if it was likely around 30 years or more that I last heard it, that shop theme is still cemented in my memory. Like scratching an itch that has been bothering you for a time, finding those games from childhood that you never knew the name, had that same thing with Chakan The Forever Man, even rewatched a playthrough again a few days ago.

Depends on where about in the world you were. Here in the UK, barely anyone had a NES. It was mostly micro computers and later the Sega consoles. I don't think even the SNES did that well against the Mega Drive/Genesis here, although it was quite well regarded.
