Near Trenton, out on the praries nearby are the rock circles called teepee rings. The rocks remain in the spots used to hold down the edges of the teepee. Digging around inside them yielded some arrow heads, beads, and bird bones. Also petrified trees and snails, from ancient lake bed. A grey mud like quicksand near Trenton Lake and out in the pasture below the prairie. The cliff was also an ancient buffalo jump. The herding off the cliff of the bison. Thank you.

Bead Hill, nearby was a favorite spot for the local native women to sit and bead while overlooking and watching the Missouri River below. Lived in Trenton near there. From Williston originally. Thank you. Hello from Boise Idaho USA!

Inside the building was a museum when I went there in the late 70's and 80's. Loved this chair there with bison horns overlapped up the sides and back. Cool looking high backed chair! Thank you.

He was truly one of the great villains in American history. Not as evil as many, but a relentless hater. He loses power in North Dakota and retires to Alaska to steal Gold claims. I bet he had a great villain laugh.

My 3rd Great Grandfather and my 3rd Great Grandmother on my Father's side of the family were both born in Glückstal, Russia in 1871 and 1873. Both their families had lived there since 1840s as German Lutheran who settled in modern day Moldova and Russia. In 1930s and 1940s they immigrated to the USA, where I live today. 🇩🇪🇷🇺🇲🇩❤

I am Russian and live in the USA. I spent my entire childhood in the village of Nikolaevka Krasnoturansk region Krasnoyarsk krai, Siberia, Russia. 99.9% of Nikolayevka's population were Volga Germans who settled there in 1908. I spoke "plat taich" almost like a German kid. I will be happy to communicate with someone to share the remnats of German dialect that I still remember.

1950s us fish and wildlife easements are the problem. The easement t was signed by previous land owners that limit the ability to drain the land correctly. It is a un American and unconstitutional program. Since 1993 North Dakota has been in a wet cycle and with wet area it raises the water table and creates ponding. The ponding then drys eventually after the planting window and leaves the salt with it. If the farmer wasn’t handcuffed and harrassed by the us fish and wildlife this problem would not I repeat would not be this big of problem. Anybody that works for the fish and wildlife is a piece of shit. You are destroying people’s livelihood and their legacy that they have worked very hard for.

This is all nauseous to me. Making a sound like these homesteaders of the first one there. The Indians were there first until they came decide to take their land and drive them out. Let's get history right. Stop making thinking people believe that the homesteaders are there first I don't believe that

1:13 I'm a historian of immigration to the US working on a research project studying immigration patterns by word processing passenger lists from westbound crossings of ships of the White Star Line. In March 1906 I found the first Russian Germans to sail by the White Star Line aboard the steamer Cymric, which sailed on the company's Liverpool to Boston service. They were two brothers named Senger, Anton and Valentin. They came with their wives and had a combined total of 12 children and were headed to Harvey, ND where another brother Joseph had settled. They were among the lucky ones to get out of Russia before the communism came. Anton, Joseph and Valentin were the three oldest of 9 children in their family. Their father died in Ukraine in 1888, their mother and another brother joined them in North Dakota. Two other brothers and two sisters settled in Saskatchewan, and a third sister settled in Alberta.

Simply amazing and yet so modest. I was outbid on a full unused set of Cogelow skew chisels but didn't even know who they were named after. I just instinctively thought they looked useful for getting into challenging areas like I had experienced in my first carving. I'm bummed that I didn't bid more now but I decided to google Cogelow out of curiosity and was glad to find a true artist! Its nice to see someone really challenging themselves and having fun with the imagery. I was somewhat reminded of the Artist Red Grooms and the cartoonist R.Crumb whose imagery have a similar absurd humor and just a lot of fun to look at. There is also a Dutch master feel too as well as Americana.
