Not his best playing for sure. Pretty sloppy and some of the worst tones I’ve heard from Roy. Disappointing.

I think I was at this concert. I saw him there at Park east or west. I forget. It was in the late seventies.

Do you know why you don’t see a label on the headstock? Because Roy put a piece of black electrical tape over it ! Fact !

Four months later and am back listening to this cover song by Roy, soaking in his genius....O' the guitar picking here! I was with Roy a month before he committed suicide, spent some time with him in his trailer in the parking lot at Skipper's Smokehouse. I never would have guessed he'd be dead just weeks later. I listen to this picking here and am reminded of how brilliant the man was! I am still sad over his tragic death. I sit here listening to this...............and tears flow from my eyes. Mister softy me!

This picking gives me goosebumps! The man was good! There were some select few Roy shows at My Father's Place on Long Island mid 70's I believe. Of all the show he played there, there were these few shows where he did things with his guitar I've heard nowhere else. Some of the best Roy picking I've ever heard, not to be duplicated at any of his other shows. Just amazing. It was one of the WLIR recordings I believe. Me and my friend Tony seem to be the only ones aware of these shows. This man is under-rated generally speaking!

Led Zeppelin was not mimicking the song "Spanish Harlem" here - Robert Plant was simply singing the lyrics to it over the same riff section that they'd been playing since 1973. Robert finishes up with some of the words from Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock" song - "We are stardust, we are golden. We've got to get ourselves back to the garden...back to the garden..." Some nights Robert sang the lyrics to Scott McKenzie's song "San Francisco" and some times he sung more of the lyrics to the song "Woodstock." It depends on his mood. It's all good !

Angle Jeff Buckley came among us for the shortest time then had to return back to his day job of singing his and other people's brilliant songs and playing his guitar for evermore in Heaven. Jeff just like his dear dad and dear mother left a permanent print in our memory

Incredible ! I'd give my left foot to play like that. Watched all 4 segments of Remembering Roy Buchannan just today. I bet if you checked you would find that the bars he played in didn't sell much beer when he played there. To mesmerized by the music.

This guy is spellbinding. He plays so perfectly so easily that it seems he can ...at will....do anything he wants with his hands ....playing in so many ways at once ...like he's toying with us. His reasoning for turning down the Rolling Stones gig....." I don't look like a Rolling Stone ..I don't feel like a Rolling Stone....why would I join that band ? "
