Love his artistry and musicality, let along his impeccable technique. I have heard him live playing Tchaikovsky piano concerto, and it was the best I have ever heard.

I played it with my school orchestra. It has some nice parts to it but far too disjointed and virtuosity for virtuositys sake.

This is so accurate playing. It is how I would play it ---- if I could. The form, the tempo, the native accents, the showmanship perspective, the touch, ...everything!....What a great conductor of the piano!

This is a level of mastery that few will ever witness, fewer will ever appreciate, and almost none will ever themselves attain. I’ve watched the pas de deux portion of this performance probably 50+ times, and listened to Pletnev’s own recording of it another hundred or so. It never gets old. I am aware statements like these risk pretension, but I truly believe this to be the pinnacle of art.
