At the very most here, they were dating but not physically affectionate anymore (which is actually normal for couples, as much as is physicality). Unless before the radio show that morning they discussed something they could do that would be good for the shippers/listeners but “prove” they were not dating.

omg this is the video that changed my life, i did not know FOB at all, and was a fan of dan and happened upon this exact video 8 years ago and Dan's genuine emotions at the chance to talk to Pete made me wonder who this guy is and why is Dan so passionate about him, andI ended up listening to Light Em Up and it was like all the rage inside me finally had a voice and everything made sense. FOB is still the soundtrack to my life, me and pete going through shit. Thanks for uploading this random little audio, it changed my life and made me who I am.

This prank call has always made me feel aweful for dan. Im a fan of fall out boy always have been but I feel like dan would’ve been so heartbroken when this happened he loves fall out boy and the fact that he was in the closet when this happened makes me feel for him. He had trouble with guys in school and in life and I cant imagine what was going through his head. I hope pete apologized.
