I have 1 router, 4 switches, 7 hubs, 1 bridge and 8 PCs. 1. The router connected to the switch1, switch2, hub1 and bridge. 2. The switch1 is connected to the other two switches, switch3 and switch4 and pc1 is connected to switch 3 and pc2 is connected to switch 4. 3. The switch 2 is connected to the other two hubs, hub2 and hub3 and pc3 is connected to hub2 and pc4 is connected to hub3. 4. Collision domain count: 12 Broadcast domain count: 4 Explanation... Assuming all devices belong to the same VLAN and only one VLAN is used on the network, we can see that: (1) There are only 4 broadcast domains as only the router can isolate any broadcast on any of the segments its ports are connected to. These include broadcast segments involving SW1, SW3, SW4, PC1 & PC2 (segment 1); SW2, Hub2, Hub3, PC3, & PC4 (segment 2); Hub1, Hub4, Hub5, PC5 & PC6 (segment 3); and Bridge, Hub6, Hub7, PC7 & PC8 (segment 4) (2) There are also 12 collision domains described below: i. Do this series missing some videos or not? Because the first video are named ARP 2 and other ones are following the same prefix which lead me to believe that, the video 1 and 4 are missing. I thank you for your great explanations I really much liked them!

Quick and informative! Really well done! I have question about Rebinding state: In the Request packet, do we ask for renewal of the existing lease? If so, how would other DHCP servers with different IP pools react? Simple ignore the packets? Or would they send the new IP? Thanks for the video!

In the rebinding state, the. DHCP client begins to broadcast DHCP packets in order to extend its lease as the initial unicast message to the server did not get a response. Also, the RFC for DHCP clearly states that "The client MUST NOT include a 'server identifier' in the DHCPREQUEST message." both in the renewing state and rebinding state. As long as the server responds with the requested IP address by the client and the 'xid' field in the DHCPACK message is the same as in the DHCP REQUEST message, the client will continue forwarding traffic normally and enter the binding state.
