@@Daveonarave all ways makes me chuckle when I get compliments on my nails , if you saw how I file them 🤣 I think I am just lucky that they grow nicely cause yeah I usually grab a bit of fine grit sand paper from my craft supplies when I snag one or get a rough spot that’s gonna split the whole nail and give it a sand , other than that I really don’t do much to them they just grow good x 🤗⭐️

Trouble with these beading tutorials is that they are so relaxing and soothing there's a danger of not appreciating your amazing talented craft. Haha are you good at bubblegum? I have tried to blow a bubble but never succeeded. And the candy necklaces, we used to fire them at each other or a designated target with our teeth. Very few were swallowed - can you relate? 😅 x

@@Daveonarave All ways so kind x 🤗⭐️❤️ I used to wear those candy bracelets till they went all sticky and got covered in fluff 🤣🤣 then had to throw them away , and I can’t remember the last time I had bubble gum literally years , I used to blow bubbles as a kid but they would all ways pop in my face and get in my hair 🤣 amazing what a mess a child can get in with a piece of bubble gum ….

Thats awesome Bex - great work! Bex my trouser hem could do with a lift. You dont mind if i put my foot on your table and make myseif a cuppa and biscuit whilst you do your handy work at my ankles, do you?😂 And dont stab me with needle or pins! 😂😂 Lol dont worry I know its not that sort of sewing and I'd never be so rude or entitled lol but i love how its such a similar skills set (sewing/tailoring clothes and jewellery making) to create totally different products. I expect as a mother and grandmother you have done a fair bit of needle and thread hand work over the years - would you say this has helped you with assembling jewellery? x

I don’t have a bead loom, but I found this pattern on google, and I am trying to add this exact pattern to a pair of moccasins I am making. First ever pair of moccasins and first time ever beading anything. I sat down and counted each and every bead, color and row and wrote it down so I wouldn’t have to do that while I was working, all I have to do is look at my cheat sheet, pick up the beads and sew them on. Problem is, I’ll get the first 6 or 8 rows perfect, then they’ll start to get all wonky and uneven. I am sewing g the beads on to leather and having a really difficult time. I’ve tried doing entire rows, half rows, 3 and 4 beads at a time etc and it’s always the same after so many rows, wonky. At this point I’ve got several hundred dollars invested in supplies and stuff so I can’t give up. NEED HELP !
@BeadPie
@BeadPie 12 күн бұрын
Hi Michael 👋 firstly what brand of seed beads are you using ? It truly makes a difference , a lot of seed beads will not be quite an even size and this will make your work sit wonky!! Which is why I use only Miyuki seed beads the uniformity and evenness is amazing , I rarely get an odd shaped bead , miyuki make the very best seed beads in the world , unfortunately the most expensive too , but when I started beading I got hundreds of seed beads from the internet and I think they came from china , every pattern I tried to make came out wonky , so I had to get some “Beaducation “ 🤣 Toho beads are not a bad runner up for quality , but I would strongly advise to use Miyuki seed beads only . Can you w mail me a picture ? As if it’s not the beads , maybe I could see if I can spot the issue and help you out . My e mail is , [email protected]
@BeadPie
@BeadPie 12 күн бұрын
It’s socking the difference in the quality of seed beads , how Miyuki make every tiny bead so perfectly sized is amazing 🤩 I got rid of all the cheap seed beads from china , and had to restart collecting seed beads all Miyuki and it was like magic , such a difference , no more wonky beadwork , some beads can look ok but once you start to bead up the pattern , yeah it all goes wonky .

@@michaelprue9024 I have had a little idea , I can make a little video showing how I would add the beads directly to a fabric , bead embroidery as apposed to bead looming , I have some leather , probably a bit thin for moccasins, I think it’s more for making gloves , but yeah I could do a quick video showing how I would do that if it may help you with your project , Yes I will do that this afternoon 👍 it may be helpful for you x

@BeadPie

Hi Jane , no I don’t use anything to coat the beads , and if you use fireline you should be ok . I have forgotten to take beaded rings off a bunch of times and washed my hands with them on without any issues . And good quality beads will help , some of the cheaper pearls from china for example they can scratch really easy so try to get good quality glass beads , the Czech beads are usually good x
