Very cute! I recently purchased a size 5x Hawaiian print shirt for $2.49 and can’t wait to convert mine as it’s heating up in Virginia 105 heat index for 4 today.

I only have hair from the crochet hair itself in my hair. I can tell it isn’t cause it’s longer and different texture

Well, the front looks great, however would have been nice if you had modelled the back, so we could see the drape in the back.

OMGGG!! I want to cry but I can’t BUT MY HEART!!🥹🥹 I’m SO GLAD I found this video!! Ughh now I’m starting to cry.😢My hair just recently did the SAME THING! I wore mines for 4weeks, this time though like my hair lost the SAME amount of hair as yours and was coming out in clumps! I was terrified!! I’ve NEVER lost that much hair and now my hair is also thin. It was so healthy and thicker. SMH…I started going through all these comments and eyes started watering honestly so happy too it wasn’t just me!🙏🏽 I agree that it has to be these crochets because the last time I wore them hair came out too but not nearly as much as this!! I’m all for beautiful natural hair and now that I’ve owned my grey (Had too FYI: When grey come in it comes aggressively and take over😩) it was sooooo beautiful! Now I will admit, my hair doesn’t like heat AT all. The 2 times I crocheted it I blow dried it with a heat protector. My thing is if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I will be going back to what I used too. LISTEN to my hair because it told me ION LIKE HEAT! OK, KEEP ON AND WATCH N SEE WHAT UMMA DO and I learned that day! 😩 I always soak the hair in vinegar water for awhile. Rinse then soak in a conditioner. However, I agree with the chemicals in and on the hair itself. Sorry to make this comment so long but THANK YOU and everyone else for sharing your experiences with me because my heart is still so hurt. This help bring some encouragement and peace. I WILL get it back right and you have a new follower.🫶🏽 Thank you for sharing your experience, I appreciate you and stay amazing!!💖💖💖

Happy this video helped you. 🫶🏾 I have recently found out since my hair is now dinner. I can't protective styles that are "heavy." My hair still has not regained all of its thickness, but i've learned to love the amount that I have. I also have embraced my gray, and boy is it coming and strong 🤯 I hope to get an update on your hair in the future.

I’ve learned to love the amount that I have🥰🙏🏽🫶🏽That’s it!!🤍 It’s like our hair have its own mind ESPECIALLY that grey right?😩 It’s so disrespectful, LOL 🤯 I’ve decided also for the “heavy” protective styles is definitely a no for me as well. I’ve been allowing its natural state since it’s been hot outside. My scalp feels better and it seems my hair is enjoying it. I do hope that your hair get back to a better state as well. 🙏🏽 I will keep you updated as I continue to follow you and give you an update after a month of hair care therapy/rehab lol. Peace and Blessings to you Beautiful Lady and thank you so much for the reply!🫶🏽

Maybe it was the excess hair they put in when they braid prior to adding crochet. Usually, they add hair to the braids to stabilizer the crochet. That happened to me and I was freaking out. But then I realized it wasn't my hair at all...lol.

I believe that was part of my problem. I had such thick hair that she did not add any braiding hair.

It’s not the hair or the weight of the hair and I highly doubt it’s the product, although gel might not help the situation…anyways imagine trying to part your hair while it’s straight and free flowing. Easy right? The strands move out of the way and lay as directed. Now if you braid your hair and proceed to part it or stick any tools through the tightly packed and restricted strands, especially metal, you can surely expect casualties. Thats why the breakage you see are so long, the breakage is happening closer to the scalp, because those strands are now restricted from movement by having them braided down. They can’t move out the way. They can’t curl up into a ball for protection. They have no choice but to be held in a captive position while a metal tool comes plowing over and over and over again…all over your head…Inevitable casualties. Inevitable breakage. I hope we can find another way because cornrows are great protective styles and the idea of crotchet styles is fantastic but not the tool

Thank you so much! It was really hard to sew the jersey fabric I'm using with the machine - I ended up pulling the fabric as I was feeding it into the machine, so that it was already stretched. I also used a zigzag stitch and stretchy thread. It makes the hem look puckered but at least the stitches won't rip out! I also changed the initial 36 by 40 rectangle into a 40 by 40 square so that I had a bit more thigh coverage... or may it made it longer. I'm still not sure. Anyways, great video. Thank you!

I follow quite a few ladies on YT with different techniques for installing the crochet hair. One mentioned if your braids are too tight and you struggle to get the needle underneath the braid that could cause breakage. Also there’s a technique to install the hooks through the braid instead of underneath the braid.

I had the exact same experience, I lost a significant amount of hair from the roots after removing crochet braids that were in 4 weeks. I believe that the loss is due to the process of putting the hair through your braided hair, which likely pulls the hair free from the roots. Definitely not a normal amount of shedding.
