Hi any thoughts on cone drills ? How would you plan on effectively training dribbling properly?
@beadribblr
@beadribblr 22 күн бұрын
Planning proper exercises for dribbling is complicated! Initially I designed exercises to help mainly improving the drive using cones but I realized that they were not as useful if I can't teach at the same time hence why the program you enquired about will be made free very soon! I'm designing a new program to target dribbling and these drills and exercises will not for all of them use cones! They will be different! I can't describe them in a message but I will make them available in the next few months!

Cool no problem but remember depending on your position you may not need to be good at dribbling! Central midfielders don't need that, it will always be a plus but they don't need it! Working on their passing and the different type of passes is more important! Same for strikers, working on their finishing in any situation is way more important than dribbling! However if you're a winger, yes this is a must!

Sir thank you so much. I’ve been subscribed for a bit and am kinda new here but I wanna say thank you because I used to be ok at dribbling but lost my touch after Covid. Now I can’t dribble or even get the ball without losing it easily. No matter how much I try to dribble, I touch too hard that I’m chasing after the ball or too soft where I nearly trip. But I’m still learning, because I love the way messi dribbles and how close the ball is too him and your videos are very informative. Any suggestions by the way?? Thank you!!!
@beadribblr
@beadribblr Ай бұрын
Most important as a player (Not as a dribbler) is your first touch and passing! Without those you can't even play football! My recommendation would be to practice this with one of your friend! Once you get your touch back and you feel comfortable trapping the ball in many different situations and be accurate with your passes then at this time you can think about training for dribbling.

@@beadribblr thank youu so so so very much 😂. I really appreciate it and will work on it. Especially getting confidence over time to pull these off while playing. I know I am getting a little ahead of myself but would you do a video on how to take on multiple defenders. Like 2,3,4 or so. And maybe a video on close ball control too, to go with it. If you can. Sorry, I’m asking for too much but hopefully it can be done in the future! Thank you very much and in the meantime, I’ll work on what you have suggested to me. You’re one of my fav you tubers and I have no doubt you’ll do great! Thank you!!!

@beadribblr
@beadribblr Ай бұрын
@@AyushParmar-SPORTSMentor Because the 90% are what will give you the ability to eliminate your opponent! Without those 90% it will be very difficult to dribble! For example you can't perform a skill without knowing when exactly to do it (Timing) and also you are not able to know when to do it if you can't look at the defender while you have the ball at your feet (Observation)

Thanks and of course I know them lol I grew up watching them and D'Alessandro as Argentinian number 10s! They were great players but apart from Riquelme and D'Alessandro it is difficult to teach skills from them as they were not really doing some. They were more direct and great playmakers! I will try to show more players from the 90's and early 2000's in the future though so Riquelme will probably be there!

@beadribblr Ай бұрын
Thanks for the compliment and to dribble somebody faster and stronger than you at the same time is complicated. Complicated but possible! You have to ideally (I say ideally because it is not always possible depending on the situation) eliminate him totally before accelerating away, this will give you a few steps ahead to be able to shoot, pass, or keep dribbling. If you want to keep dribbling, going in front of him to cut his run will make it harder for him to recover but understand that at one time or another, because he is faster than you he will catch up. So passing the ball or shooting will be the best option to not slow down the play too much. If you're only at training and doing 1v1s as you have mentioned then using the Eden Hazard's stop-and-go would be useful, meaning once he catch up to you then stop in a way he can't get the ball from you but face him. Observe him carefully while doing some body feints then once he tries to lunge in or commit then you try to get away once again (Look at Hazard's video at chelsea he was using this a lot). To use the latter you have to have a good acceleration though. This is also important to understand that you have somewhat to have a physical quality to be a successful dribbler, I was personally explosive on the first steps, and if you look at any good dribbler that's what usually they have in common. Good acceleration over the first few steps. Messi, Neymar, Hazard, Vini, etc so even though you may play against stronger players, if you're quicker then you'll still come on top. The issue comes when a defender is faster and stronger. If it is obvious it is a problem, unless you're much younger than him then you have to do short sprints in addition to any team training to catch up because dribbling plays on deceiving defenders to get you a yard or two to do something else but at times you may need to run with the ball and in today's game you can't be slow! Anyway this is a long answer but to come back to the initial response it is eliminate him completely meaning him lunging in and you avoiding him and accelerating away or you completely fooling him by using a skill such as the elastico which make him go one way and you go the other! Hope it will help!

@@typhoono3393 No problem, hope it will help. For clips about what I spoke in my response you can watch my french video about it and only skip through the video to watch the football clips I have included in it there. They are about 8 or 10 which will give you a more visual representation of what I meant! kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6XRdGOaYtyChKssi=pOi0tEpDlPH6prau And oh I see why. In this case, try as much as you can to play on his defensive positioning as attacking players tend to be lacking defensive discipline. What I mean by that is he will most likely leave you some space that proper defenders wouldn't and you have to exploit those as soon as you see them. Don't forget to pretend going somewhere else beforehand though! Happy training!

bro your first video of you explaining how to dribble with speed you said you could use your outside and now your saying you shouldn't. also every "how to dribble with speed" video i watch they all say use the outside, a year ago i could not dribble with speed and my technique was the top part of my foot exactly how you showed in the video, but i still couldnt dribble fast but then when i saw a vid on "how to dribble with speed" the vid told you that you should use your outside and i did that and i could dribble with speed. theres also so many good dribblers that use their outside and can run at insane speeds with the ball like Mitoma, Sane, Salah, Hazard and many other dribblers that i know but im not going to say them all.

very good video but i just have 2 questions, if you take longer strides than your usual stride when dribbling the ball, wont that make you slower? because your taking longer strides? and also, for the "keep the ball as far away from your standing foot as possible" part, at 1:59 there is also a line from you standing foot to your other foot, and under that line is a text that says "max distance by that do you also mean you should take longer strides when dribbling the ball as well?
