Oops... thanks for the catch. Van also played "Thanks for the Information" at the Self Aid show and this clip was accidentally labeled.

My favorite ACL I’ve often wondered how he tunes his guitar in these wonderful acoustic sets. I’ll bet it’s some sort of open tuning. Sounds just great.. his style.

This is a very good interview; the lady is great at asking good sensible questions and Van looks relaxed. I would not want Van to be any different, why the heck should he explain, his work has got a brilliance about it, you can make up your own stories to go with those songs, and sometimes they will be better than what the writer will tell you. The people of this world are very lucky to have the likes of Van Morrison, Bob Dylan kicking around, writing, recording and still playing gigs/concerts to this day

I wasnt a huge fan of the Duets records, but it shows just what a fantastic song stylist Sinatra was. His voice was past its peak by a couple of decades, but he was still a master of phrasing - he was charisma personified...very cool guy.

Steve Earle has always been a favorite of mine, but I was so young during season 12 of Austin City Limits in 1987 that I didn’t get the chance to see this live. I’m so glad to have found it now! Thanks to Rare Find Music Videos for posting it. If you’re a Steve Earle fan, I highly recommend it.👍

This concert, filmed in Austin in 1987, marked the 12th season of “Austin City Limits” and some major changes for PBS stations KLRN and KLRU in Texas. In 1986, the two separated, with KLRN becoming The Alamo Public Telecommunications Council and KLRU becoming The Capital of Texas Public Telecommunications Council. The Southwest Texas Public Broadcasting Council also dissolved around that time. Even with all the organizational changes, there was still plenty of great programming on PBS, including the aforementioned “Austin City Limits” as well as other PBS favorites like “All Creatures Great and Small,” “Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser,” “Sesame Street,” “This Old House,” “NOVA,” “The Ring of Truth with Philip Morrison,” “America by Design,” and “Degrassi Junior High.”👍
