One unusual use for an umbrella is something I discovered when encountering a large buck who was looking like he was going to charge me ( I was wearing a fawn brown coat in the wet, falling snow). I had a button release compact umbrella in my coat pocket and slowly got it out and deployed the umbrella. That buck took off at a full run. Just one more way to make yourself bigger all at once in the bush.

From the west. Plenty of chicken raising. Trench the fencing deep. There are several breeds of dogs that have long histories of protecting chickens. The Maremma if most used in Australia. These are not dogs for indoor or urban pets. These Maremma's were surrendered and a smart chicken farmer adopted them. Adopting rescue dogs was not only good welfare for the animal, Mr Carmody said dogs over four years old are also easier to train. "We've got four Maremma sheep dogs; we have two pairs working in 30-acre paddocks each." Maremma sheep dogs are often used on free and open-range egg farms to guard the chickens. A Victorian egg farmer who has up to 4,000 birds has adopted rescue dogs to work on the property "We like the rescues because they are mature, we don't have to deal with the puppy stage - they're a bit useless at protecting the chickens under two years old." The Anatolian Shepard, the Great Pyrenees, the Kuvasz, are a few of the dogs that are used successfully for livestock, including chicken protection.

Another helpful hint: if you’re walking a path and you discover a plate full of birdseed, with a sign that says “free birdseed”, STOP! And immediately look up. Twice now I’ve found a large metal anvil hanging from a string directly overhead. Do NOT move forward. Back up and leave the area. Remember, the life you save may be your own….

This post shows your ignorance of coyotes. This post is ridiculous. If you have any experience in the wild then know that this is not your territory. You know that animals do not attack in 99% of instances. So, 99% of humans need to stay out of the wild an take their arrogance to a bar.

Looks like the areas of new homes are lacking trees and landscaping. Houses too close together. Back yards small and cramped.
