Hey mate, I just happened to find your channel after buying one myself! I did a basic maintenance (oil change, filters, bleeding the breaks, changed the coolant) I also had to service the forks as they were leaking and change the chain. Now, this is my first bike, and idk if this is normal, but mine seems to have a vibration, more like a resonance at around 7k-8k rpm's. Also I notice a weird sound, and I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the valve clearance or the transmission chain, once the bike is up to temp. the noise is not that noticeable. I saw that you mentioned you've already done the valve clearance, and I'm tempted to give it a try (never done this before). Could you please let me know where to find a good guide on how to do that please ?

I absolutely love my 1990 ZZR6. Its an dream to ride, smooth and fast even now 34yrs later. Mine came to me naked and I knew it was love at first sight. It doesn't have the stock handlebars either, I've had to put a wide bar on her (its what I had at the time and it works really well). Taken me to various UK rallies and the TT in 2022. Which brings me to MPG. FOD to Liverpool is roughly 160 miles, I stopped once to refuel about 100 miles in and only used 6-7litres of its 18-20 litre tank at legal speeds with the odd 80+mph blip fully loaded (carried 80kg + Me 70kg-ish). Need I say more. Perfect bike for commuting any distance really.

Thanks for vid, can always learn. I had similar bikes to you, ZRX1100/1200's, ZZR12, ZZR6, ZX9R's. My 'New' YZF600 project had me stumped. Clicking Starter solenoid and Starter not turning engine. Replaced both, still same. Long story short, i had previously used instant gasket on Starter gear cover as no new gasket. I EVENTUALLY found the inner gear boss of the cover was crushing one of the starter gears, preventing it from turning. Home made cardboard gasket, and gear has clearance and back to normal. 1x millimeter made all the difference.

Went to look at a bike last week at superbike factory Donnington. Found a nice looking honda to which i enquired about £4890 Which was a little steep for the age and mileage but looked a tidy bike so i wanted to go ahead. After being talked into applying for finance for the bike the agreement come back accepted at extortionate rates! Baring in mind im in the good band on expirian credit report. So i decided (which i was going to initially do) buy the bike cash. To which i got told that the price displayed isn't actually the real price and that there was an administration fee and change of documentation fee. I ran out that place!!! Beware they want you to purchase through credit/hp as thats where they make the most profits.

an absolute nono, no doubt! However: maybe next time after you have passed, move to the left on your lane and keep your speed in order to enable a following rider to get back in lane. Before you passed you must have seen this guy in the mirror, so giving him room to get back in would have been courteous
@mcycle244 ай бұрын
@@eberhardh I was on a ZZR1200 and I did check my mirrors after the overtake and noticed my bike was much faster accelerating and had opened up a large gap on the Goldwing so there was plenty of room, Goldwing was trying to race a Ducati sports bike who did drop in behind me and waited for a safer place to overtake. I slowed down a bit because I didn’t want to exceed the speed limits of the road.
