Prompt Pay is active by default for all DBS customers. This is a risk as Prompt Pay transfers money out to Thailand as fast as PayNow. Once hackers gain access to your posb/ DBS account your money will be TT out to Thailand in seconds. DBS should make Prompt Pay an optional feature for clients instead. Not an active default feature.

The third series of coins, comprising five denominations, were issued into circulation on 25 June 2013. The coins mark Singapore’s progress as a nation. The coin designs depict well-known icons and landmarks of our nation, economy and society that Singaporeans, young and old, can identify easily. The following features have also been added to facilitate identification by the visually impaired: Progressive sizing by denomination to allow users to recognise the coins more intuitively. The 5-cent coin is the smallest and 1-dollar coin is the largest. Larger denomination numerals for easy identification. Tactile features such as the different edge patterns on each denomination of the new coins. For example, the 50-cent coin has a micro scalloped edge pattern, the 1-dollar and 20-cent coins have milled edging, the 10-cent has an interrupted milled edge pattern and the 5-cent coin has plain edging. Higher relief at the rim of the 1-dollar coin. Retention of the octagonal frame for the 1-dollar coin. A circle of beads along the rim of the 50-cent coin. All denominations feature the lion's head, a common unifying symbol and the Singapore Coat of Armsm a recognised symbol of the legal tender status of Singapore coins, on the obverse.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore/MAS has announced today that a new series of coins will be rolled out for circulation by the middle of the year. The new series coins depict local icons and landmarks that are familiar to Singaporeans and reflect various aspects of Singapore’s progress as a nation. The design of the new third series coins feature five famous national icons and landmarks of our nation, economy and society. The Merlion, a renowned symbol of Singapore. The Port of Singapore, one of the busiest ports in the world. Changi Airport, one of the best aeroports in the world. Public Housing, home to more than 80% of Singaporeans. The Esplanade, an iconic centre for performing arts in Singapore. You will also find that the new coins will have larger denomination numerals for easy identification and features to facilitate identification by the visually-impaired. The coins are progressively sized by denomination, with the five-cent coin being the smallest and the one-dollar coin being the largest. The new 1-dollar coin The 1-dollar coin contains additional security features, including its bi-metallic composition and the laser mark micro-engraving in the form of Singapore’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim. Each coin denomination has a customised electro-magnetic signature, which allows vending machines to reject counterfeit and foreign coins. They are made of multi-ply plated steel and are less costly to produce. The Second Series coins have been in use for more than 25 years. There will be a period of adjustment as we all get comfortable with the new coins. MAS will continue to work closely with our stakeholders to smoothen the transition. MAS has been working with public transport operators to ensure that coin-operated machines at MRT/LRT transit stations are calibrated to accept both the existing and new series coins before the launch of the new coins. MAS has also been working with businesses with coin-operated facilities such as vending machine operators and supermarkets to prepare them for the launch. All past and current series coins will not be demonetised and the public can continue to use them for payment alongside the new coins.

He spoke well as a 3rd or 4th generation Singaporean. Not many could speak like LKY in his perfect Queens English and superb oratorical skill. Perhaps if LW speak a little slower, his speech will be more captivating and attention locking.

Glad to hear Mr. Menon again.... I'd like to know for entities reporting using international frameworks, what are the Emission Factors that they should use... considering not all EF's have been and couldn't be converted as per Singapore standards... Also, when mandatory reporting comes in picture who'll be responsible for updating EF's each year. Thanks
