Then purpose of darts is so that a bodice can fit properly over the bust. The center front dart, pictured in this video preview demonstrates another place where a dart can be moved.

Thumbs down calm but I miss something. It just showed me an edge of a piece of scrap fabric. Like if I have the top portion of the dress at the bust area how do I get it around and looking tailored? Do I have to have a certain length of ribbon that would just fold over the top part of the dress? Where do you sew exactly to get the ribbon and trim to look nicely around the top portion of a dress not strapless

Apologies for this direct approach, my Wife paid for a subscription for full content access on the University of Fashion website, and has been billed 3 times in 3 consecutive months but has no access to the paid content. After sending direct messageS through the contact page, and facebook, we have had absolutely no feedback. Whoever is managing this site appears to be fairly negligent. Any suggestions as to how we proceed, or who to contact to resolve this issue?

Just got a nouvelle 1500s today need parts where can I get them Mainly need power foot pedal switch and a bobbin winder
@UniversityOfFashion3 ай бұрын
I would check with the manufacturer (Brother) first and see if they have the parts. If not, they may be able to recommend a place where you can get them. I would only use Brother parts or what they suggest.

Finally, a tutorial that makes perfect sense. I'd like to add an inside pocket for a men's tailored waistcoat. Is there a way to skip the edge stitching? ❤
@UniversityOfFashion9 ай бұрын
Yes, you don’t have to edgestitch around the pocket slit, but you will need to give it a very hard press so it stays in place. I am glad the tutorial makes perfect sense. Check out other lessons and more at UniversityofFashion.com!

If you don't have a form, how would this be handled on a human body ?
@UniversityOfFashion9 ай бұрын
You must own or have access to a dress form in order to drape a bustier. The fit of a bustier is designed to hug the body (without wearing ease) and therefore needs to be draped directly on a dress form.

Why the neck so long tho ?
@UniversityOfFashion10 ай бұрын
Glad you watched the video! You can see many more of these fashion lessons if you go to www.UniversityofFashion.com! The reason that the neck is so long is because in fashion illustration we always use an elongated figure. It seems to be able to print the clothes in a better way.
@adaharrisonn7 ай бұрын
Its part of the historial design style of a fashion croquis, they have always been drawn with extremely slender and distorted body shapes to feature the clothing primar8ly without any folds and wrinkles so it can show the design.

why are you tearing the muslin
@UniversityOfFashion Жыл бұрын
That is a great question! Tearing the muslin guarantees that you are working with straight grain when draping. Straight grain is key to a good fit.
