So true lol but it's because trout stress more easily than bass I think. I remember stripping trout as a student once for a spawning practical and next day most of the broodstock I stripped died. You have to be gentle with them 😅

@@littlexplorer385 you know the suspense you feel when you watch a movie and you know something is about to happen? That’s why it was hard for me to watch, once I saw you hone in on a fish I was waiting in suspense for the shot but right when I’d think “there it is” you would move forward and the fish would move backwards then I would think “man you could’ve had him” there’s nothing wrong with being patient but you definitely could take longer shots with that gun if you can shoot it well.

@littlexplorer3858 ай бұрын
ice went on top of the fish before we headed back, but we were constantly filling the box up with cold water and draining the blood for chum, so the fish was cold at all times👍

Have you fished at Doordekraal dam recently? I was there today and tried both dough and bread on a float setup as well as with a sinker but had no luck. I also noticed there are a lot more reeds there now. Any other spots you would recommend for freshwater fishing in the vicinity?

Please don't advertise spots like these. There are some of us that have been fishing here for years, and the impact of advertising is massive. Also, stop using trebble hooks and don't hold the fish by the gills!! That fish is as good as dead once the gill filaments are damaged.

Ive lived and worked with South African guys for over 35 years in the UK and own many types of cooking equipment from their home, and they have wetted my appetite of the fishing stories of them when at home. Some day I will visit this beautiful country and hope to catch some of these lovely fish you catch in your videos. Lovely to watch and great accompanying music. Tight lines and safe passages.
