found a bit of color being pale on desperadoes video so I fixed. Think color in All Stars video looks just right. But I could try 2nd version as well. thanks for your feedback.

Yes. Pan lover are in heaven on this one, very nice love it, but Desperadoes arrangement i find more interesting and complex. It is really more suited to listening and All Stars just make you fly out of your seat. No Adult beverage required . after the first round Desperadoes lead by 2 point, after the semi finals one point now separate them. i wonder if we may be seeing a tie at the finals. #bostoncarnivalvillage

Mama dat is Pan. . . Well done All Stars . . ! Ah still cyah understand how Despers in first place. In the prelims I had Despers 4th. . Now I still gave them 4th place ::. . . by My judging, I have it ::: 1. All Stars. 2. Renegades, 3. Exodus , 4. Despers. 5. Silver Stars, 6. Invaders, 7. Phase II ::: My problem with Despers is , The song was barely recognisable, they played for 7:41mins, and, less than 1 minute was devoted to the melody of the song, though intricate, it sounded a bit noisy and confused.. If you started listening to them after the first minute, you would have a hard time figuring out what the hell they were playing... but I give them credit for improvising, but the name of the song is "Good Morning" not "Good Improvising" . . Despers remind me of dat footballer who like to go out and put beats on people, showing off, cutting all kinda style, and fancy footwork and when time come to score , , , he miss de damn Goal, but, he looking good though ! . . .

Actually despers deserved the 1st place...and i'm a renegades supporter...it's all about your own arrangement the tune...you don't have to play every single note in the song itself...it's about creating your version

Watsup Selector Ultimate868 . . . I understand what you saying.. but, If one is to listen to Despers' rendition and interpretation carefully, one will realise that after 2:31, the familiarity of the song disappears until the near end of the performance around 7:07. That's almost 5:00mins without one knowing what's being played. Now, I'm not saying that the melody should be played throughout the interpretation. what I'm saying is one should be able to recognise some melodic influences and phrasing within the improvised executions. What I mean is , that when improvising, which is mostly interpreted by the lead pans, phrasing elements of the melody should be also interpreted/imagined on other pans other than leads. Even if its just a 4 note counter on a cello or guitar, even bass. The melodic elements/structures which makes the song recognisable should be there . . the execution, should not be one long improvisation, then, what's the point of playing a song with a specific melody if it's not recognisable to your audience, but, only to those fans familiar with it ? . How many times you've listened to bands, maybe you walked in late, or in the middle of the performance, and if not for the banner telling you the name of the song, you're at a lost as to what is being played. ? The difference between Despers and (All Stars and Renegades) . . is, even though All Stars and Renegades renditions are highly stylised and improvised . . you can still follow the song, and at any point you know what is being played, not so with Despers.. just my 2cents. -Much Peace Bro..
