Absolutely Beautiful wiring job!! Every detail including the use of ferrules on each wire was much appreciated.. This instructional video is something many car audio guys need.. Many guys don't get trained sufficiently on how to wire 12V systems properly.. Great Job!! Please keep these coming.. Cheers!!

I have a similar setup in my truck. I stated with the 12tw3, then went 13tw5. Honestly not much difference in my opinion. Kinda disappointing considering the massive price difference. Then went with the sundown sd3 12 in an underseat box with the seat lift and wow! Sound like full size subs.

Do U know if its possible to do a car audio system with 1,800w rms ,a 18 Hz to 21 kHz and 110 db? And if anything with the thought process is out of proportion ? Also recommendations for speakers

I really believe this is a High end Audio system. There's nothing mid level or low budget 🤔 about this. Come on bro. It's literally all JL Audio... This is something the average person has to Finance😅

I have a similar system…2016 Tacoma double cab…Focal Flax in the doors…Arc Audio A10 Subwoofers…powered by Arc Audio 6 channel amplifier X2-1200.6 Running factory radio with a Digital Design Dsi-3 processor …DSP with Focal speakers creates an incredible sound and clarity at any volume…adding sound deadening material enhanced the experience and reduces overall road noise…I liked the ability to created different presets for different genres…after listening to DSP enhanced music…it hard to not too..

I’m trying to figure out best set up for my 2001 Cabrio. I just sold a 2000 (regrettably) that had a great sound system. I do t know the intricacies of it. Just photos of the speakers, amp, and 8” Rockford sun in rear. They had what appeared to be smaller dash speakers in the factory spot, with tweeters sitting in back of them pointing toward driver. Looked like a small infinity speaker mid range, and the tweeter is likely JL (or infinity) because the doors were JL mids. Amp was a 300 Watt JL. Rears, unsure, finding ones that fit is challenging, but Crutchfield stated I could space the screws with washers and other mods to bring thing “out”. Anyone have ideas of what to buy? It sounded so good! If I could locate the original O I’d duplicate it as close as possible. It had an older 52 watt X4 Alpine CD player. I’m thinking Kenwood next (I dont like those pop up screens).

You sold another set. What a great idea. I have traditionally converted to military style terminals but this is much more convenient for modern vehicles with fuses integrated into the terminal.

Dream setup ? For a 3rd gen Jimny used offroad : Alpine Halo head unit, 2*3-way component system in front (6.5"+4"+tweeter) with custom door pod, 2*4" coaxial in back, 12 inch sub in a ported box, preferably all speakers with some water resistant rating just in case. Everything powered by MVi amps from JL Audio and linked to an onboard PC you can access from the head unit (HDMI input) for configuration. Add a secondary source accessible from outside the car and some quick disconnect watersport 2*8" pod speakers (powered by the same MVi amps) for when you're chilling with the bois and don't want to unleash the 2000W+ beast with no alternator running. And of course a bigger alternator cause the stock one won't do

what if i have a built in dsp into my head unit so which is better a stand alone dsp or my head unit ?

I’ve upgraded head units in the past. But I need a little help this time. I have a ‘04 Honda Pilot with a factory subwoofer. The sub is powered by the factory radio. Problem: I’d love to keep the factory sub mainly cause it’s a pain to get to. 1. Is there a head unit capable of driving the sub, like the factory radio does? 2. If not and I need to get an amp, what would you recommend? I know the factory sub is a 50 amp/ 2ohms. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. RLM

The way I do it is add another wall of 1 inch of ply wood to the side you mount your amp paint it similar to the box and fasten thourghly, then and groumets,spacers and double up and fasten amplifier, that means your amp is not directly connected to the outside wall of the original box, and the groumets and spacers keep off the second wall , which might be vibrating but definitely not flexing... also depends how much power your running.. smaller systems are A LOT more safer doing this... and definitely helps MASSIVELY!!!! 💯👍

Those relays draw more power than six amplifier remote wires from the head unit
@CarAudioFabrication3 күн бұрын
You're only saying this because you watched another KZbin video that completely ignores the reason these are used. I powered lights, fans, and several other items off the circuit. Helps to actually listen to what is said in the video
@Chromedome-ss6mg2 күн бұрын
@@CarAudioFabrication yeah I was actually looking up if I needed a relay. I did watch another video and he tested it. Yes I just saw it on another video lol. But I guess if you're running fans and lights and everything then the relay is the way to go.
