Hi Marc, loved your video, thank you for getting up at 4.00am and taking the walk. I live in Australia but went to school in Coleshill over 50 years ago. My boyfriend at the time lived in ColeshillI and I remember going on a walk with him after finishing our exams early on a cold January afternoon. Happy memories. It may have changed but still has great charm.

It's a camera phone with a very tiny sensor. You cannot expect low light performance of a full frame camera with a phone (or a crop sensor camera for that matter). It's just physics. In bright daylight, without cropping the images, you are not likely to see a huge difference other than the depth of field depending on what lens you are using on the A6400. You will, however, notice a great difference when using the A6400 with good glass like the Sigma 16mm f1.4 or 30mm f1.4, especially in low light. The Samsungs have a tendency to over-process the images with noise reduction and saturation, so try not to crop too much (or better yet, not at all) when using the phone.

I can't believe you didn't film the Father Hudson Homes buildings (or what's left of them). I was there from the age of two.

This may be the best hotel in the world, no matter, they tried sending a tourist to jail just for writing a bad review! This is unacceptable, don't stay in this hotel let it go bankrupt!
@astonmartin43603 жыл бұрын
Not great buisness to go legal on a guest.Bad review or not,the customer is always right,if you want to stay in buisness.Someone really fucked up when they decided to pursue the guest.It would have been smarter to give him his money back and safe all the negative publicity.Stupid small minded idiots.I ran a successful business by "taking it up the arse", when it was benificial to the long term well being to my company.

An American tourist was jailed by this hotel for posting negative reviews about them. This place sucks. People, please find an other place to stay. Hell with them. May be covid 19 will put them out of business.

We're looking at moving to Coleshill soon. Your video is the best I've found to show the town (village?) to my partner who hasn't visited there yet. I was in the Coleshill Hotel (Green King) last week. Well done!

Be warned, if you leave this resort a negative review, they will call Thai authorities and you will be arrested. It happened to a man June 2020. This resort could truly be jail for you.

Special Agent Oso You can bet I will. I also wrote an email to TripAdvisor for protecting the resort, they threw a man in jail, who in gods green earth would want to stay there? Now, I will find anything with their name on it and tell the world to not go there.

I have no connection with this hotel at all. I have been there twice now and have never thought that the hotel staff were rude. I also have never noticed any bad smell. The hotel was always clean and the Thai staff were always polite (as usual for thai people). However, on this particular visit, when we were checking in, the hotel management said that the firm I used to make the booking (AGODA) had not paid the Full amount I paid to agoda to the hotel. Therefore they would not let me check in until I contacted AGODA, even though I had proof and receipts saying I had paid in full. This meant over 2 hours waiting around in the lobby trying to sort out. The staff didn't know what to do. I had to call the management who I believe are German. It still took a further hour to sort out. Whose fault this was I do not know. As a big party of 8 we were not even offered a drink after it taking us 8 hours to get there from northern Thailand. Eventually it was solved, I tried to get some form of compensation from Agodo or the hotel, I got nothing. Both were denying responsibility. Talking about staff, my wife who is Thai. Stated that 80% of the staff were not Thai and were possibly from Burma as they did not speak Thai and they were not as friendly as the Thai staff. My wife said the hotel pay burmise people less than thais, so this is possibly why some of you encountered bad vibes/rudeness from staff. We wont be going again as we have been twice and will go somewhere different next time, But the hotel in my opinion was not that bad, however it had declined since the previous year in the fact it was more crowded, less food on offer at the buffet and the rooms were starting to look a little "tired".

Not your fault that an establishment feigns criminal insult into an international incident that reflects poorly on Thailand's archaic judicial system. If Thailand wants the world to visit, then the world needs to know how fragile and false Thai pride is.
@patosan81204 жыл бұрын
Thailand could be a paradise but also a real hell for any turist when comes a solution to a problem, not to mention an inocent critic or coment about the idiot king , an undecent guy spending corona virus time in europe with a group of courtesan . A critic could cost you years of prison, and that is the best example what are the rules in this country. A paradise or a real nightmare with a lot of weird circumstanes like death accidents in Kho tao, that never become published in newspapapers or in tv journal. Complains, abuse, informality, lack of responsability, lies, theft, accidents, tricks, police corruption etc are normal situations in this country every day. Keep it in mind! The fact that today somebody is sued because a review from a dirty Hotel is an example of this corruption. Living in Thailand is very popular for many foreigners but any little mistake, any risk situation you become involved will cost a lot of money to defend yourself or long term in jail no matter if you are inocent according to some reports...

My memories may be over 40 years ago but Sutton Park never grows old, there used to be a fair by Banners Gate and you could drive and park anywhere, no charges and no gates. The hill with the remote control aeroplanes were full of people, I loved going with my dad and there was also a lido great in the summer and a spring where you could go and get fresh water. I remember many a picnic. (Enjoying your videos, linked in via Coleshill School site thank you)

Been doing it myself too, just through photos. Lots of places still the same, which is nice though. Others not so nice .... RIP Derek & Paul. Look forward to seeing what else you do to in the future! Is the motor visible while shooting with the rear camera using the wide angle lens in Samsung Galaxy Note 9? Also, is the phones headphone jack open or blocked when using this gimbal? Thanks in advance!
