this is the time lebron thought to himself that if they win this game they will be champions .. and dwayne wade is putting up MVP numbers... he then decided to throw the game away and flush it down the drain.. lebron thought if the finals MVP aint me then there should be no championship.. yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The last, final game Steve Nash donning a Mavericks uniform...

Small things. The previous year, Vlade split his FTs. Robert Horry paid the Kings. Vlade is a split or two FTs shy to seal this game. Nick van Exel paid them. Incidentally, both played for the Lakers Vlade and the Kings never learn, small yet significant things that cost them to win it all. They're just happy to be "the greatest show on court."

The Mavs having to put their local TV games on Channel 49 just tells you how bad they had been. In 2001 KSTR was showing the Home Shopping Network for hours on end, and within a year it would be converted to a Spanish language station.

Michael Finely was one of the most underrated 2 guards of his era. Dirk was obviously the future and present franchise player, but Finely pretty much carried most of the offensive load in this win or go home game 5.

That's a nice add at the start - I'm german and didn't unterstand a word of Don Nelson's gibberish german :D - only understandable german was from Dirk!

Utah was the much better team. It's a shame Dallas won. The Mavericks embarrassed themselves in the next round.

If they were so much better why didn’t they win? They had them down 0-2 and couldn’t close. Dallas was on the ride. Utah was on the way out.

🤣🤣😭😭 The only blowout win in this series was Dallas blowing Utah out by 30 in game 4. Utah's biggest margin of victory was 11 in game 2. Basically DALLAS proved to be at least slightly, the better team. And the Mavs lost in 5 to Tim Duncan, David Robinson and the Spurs in the next round, who had the best record in the league that year. No shame in a 1st year playoff team under that tenure, to lose to a team like SA.

Wow, this some great stuff. Always good to see 2000s NBA in good quality.

This game made Mavs fans believers. I know the Heat went on to win Game 3, but the series turned on this game. Nobody thought Dallas had a real chance. It all changed because of this comeback. I’ll treasure this moment and this playoff run for the rest of my life.

As a Spurs fan, I was going crazy! The Dallas Mavericks ended the Miami Heat super team hype train!

@@Transformers217 your Spurs really should’ve had back-to-back titles, too. Imagine what these legacies would look like if the Spurs were 6-0 during the Timmy D era and LBJ’s Heat were only 1-3, haha!

This game looks eerily similar to the modern game. The announcers called it a THREE-POINT CHUCK FEST.
