Great stuff thanks for sharing the approach - Ive been dithering about best clean setups and this is really helpful - one point i wondered is the setting of a div purely for having a padding on it - could you lose that div and put padding on a section instead?

A landing page is designed to encourage a user to take a specific action. The LESS busy the page and the more specific the director to the reader the better. A navagation is NO NO. A hero image is great for a WEB page for on a landing page your image has to be congruient with the previous link the user just clicked from. What you describe here would NOT be a successful sales landing page and more of a HOME PAGE. You could change the title to avoid adding to the confusion in the internet marketing world. Sorry.

If you use a 'div' instead of a 'section' how would you get a link within that div to bounce to a specific section of the page? as from what I can see (correct me if I am wrong) you can only select a section when wanting to do this.
@brandonkay-qe9yl10 ай бұрын
when you're picking classes to change the padding for example, are those just classes you've set up to make the process faster?

I spent about 6 years on webflow and always found myself fighting with the interface and areas break too often. Also they jacked the price up so much since I started. I recommend WordPress 100% now. The multi sites are a must.

is anyone else having the issue with cross section linking? I can get it to go to the other page but it seems to break when i put it into the section I want. I am not using a button but a drop down bar but the linking shoudl be the same. page 1 name: home Page 2 name: Work element name: videos What I write on the link /Work#videos I had it orginally connected to a div, but when that didnt work I put my header in a section and linked it to that but still it didnt work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Lazy humans... source of IT jobs for decades. But to be fair, we live in a complicated world and small businesses can't be good at everything. AI builders like relume are cool, but way over the head of your average client. I'm actually the IT bloke in a small B2B company and I got tasked to do the website. In Webflow. It looks cool, works well. Gets sales. But the company recently hired an external business consultant and his first move was to hire an external agency (of his choosing) to redo it all in WordPress. Not even a thank you. I can see a different path opening up.

Facts bro.....I use web flow it's more robust you can't call yourself a web designer and not code...I'm in my 40's Webflow was a cakewalk compared to Dreamweaver and has more code base...when you get companies paying 7 grand and up...not a good idea to use Framer...what if the client has more dynamic questions you can't code nor have an understanding

@CarlosGomesCabral Жыл бұрын
With all due respect, this thinking is incorrect. Framer is definitely at the forefront and harnesses the best of both worlds. Look: You design layouts using the same concepts as Figma, which is the best design tool currently available. Alongside that, you can also develop modules from scratch using React (which is the most used JS library at the moment) within Framer. I myself created a page on a recent project that populates content layouts from an API. Webflow is excellent and has done a lot for the NoCode community. However, it has become a very complex tool and is still based on jQuery. Framer is future-focused and evolving quickly. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

Respectfully disagree. With Framer you can write React components which is way more maintainable on large sites than regular html and css that is the basis for Webflow. If you code Framer is basically infinitely more scalable. There is a reason why virtual no large site uses traditional development practices, component based development scales easier. And Webflow doesn’t have components despite the name they just have reusable classes. Now to be fair if I was going to build a 50+ page site I wouldn’t use either of these I would just start with React, or some other component based framework. Just like Disney or Netflix or any other huge site does.
