I am so glad he made the third point. Its the argument which most religious people use against atheists and sometimes i just wonder how stupid they have to he for using that idiotic argument which came from their narrow mind which wasnt capable of understanding that they are contradicting their own belief by starting that argument because if they say that god was created from nothing or no one then i can claim the same for the universe that universe was also created from no one. So the simple answer to their argument of "the universe couldn't have come out of nothing" is that if they claim their gof created the universe and the god always existed or was created out of nothing,i can claim the same for the universe that the universe was created out of nothing or always existed. But then again, majority of those people will be in denial even when you provide them with logic and answer their argument because they are delusional and arguing with someone stupid wont help. As a Christian, here are some combative and respectful arguments to use instead. 1. Belief in God and lack of belief in God have nothing to do with your desire to sin. If I’m wrong, we cease to exist. If you’re wrong, you’ll suffer. As most atheists claim to be such logical people, the logic of this statement gives a very good reason to IF ANYTHING simply try to research. Not research the Bible, but to get a better understanding of who God is, and get to know His character. Also, you don’t believe solely because of self preservation bc the Bible in revelation reminds us that heaven isn’t the goal. The goal is heaven (closeness with God) on earth, as it is in heaven. 3. The reason this argument doesn’t work is because God doesn’t have a beginning. He just WAS. If the universe had a clear beginning WITHIN time, space and matter, and God exists OUTSIDE of time, space, and matter, then this argument is flawed because God and the universe are not the same. Albert einsteins theory of causation- something cannot exist without initiation while it is inside of space. Logically nothing can exist this way, so you’d have to think something must be bigger than us- the universe is not God. 4. This is not a good argument because if someone doesn’t believe the Bible, obviously saying that the Bible is true means nothing. 5. Our morals don’t come from religion. Even as a Christian, my morals come from God, bc God IS the moral standard. This isnt from religion- this is from my relationship with God.
