I used it for a few weeks on one of my zealot builds. IMO It’s strength comes from its effectiveness against armor and ability to stun its target while grinding them. It’s a really good single target killer. It lacks against hordes because it’s heavy attack has a short range and it’s light attacks spend too much time stuck in each target. I’ve found bringing a horde focused ranged weapon is preferable when using the chainaxe. A flamethrower for example deals with hordes well.

Almsot every other weapon does a better job at everything taht chainaxe does. Imo its not worth spending time and plasteel

@@AegisAuras If you chain push attack into double heavy you can destroy hordes really well. Chaining heavy into push attack and heavy again works well too. Just be careful with stamina management. It won't be as effective against hordes as chainsword heavy spam but will be very close to it.

You don't... single target its amazing. Vs 10 poxwalkers its almost useless sadly.

Can we get more specifics on your build? Weapon stats and etc to aim for?

You have all the details at the beginning of the video, it's a good baseline, then you add to that the perks you want. It's all you need to play with randoms, you can deal with Ogryns easily with the fast head pop, hordes are destroyed by the staff at range, everything you head pop takes 15% more damage from non psychic sources, very good to deal with Bosses, Crushers and Bulwarks.

I would say that this is the one I enjoy the most for now. The best weapon is the one that works the best with your build, you just have to try to find out. But if you want me to go into details, details I will provide.:) What I like about the Maccabian sword is the mobility, the move set is good, at least better for hordes compared to the force sword. I think the mobility is very important for the Psyker especially with the Voidstrike staff. That weapon is like a railgun, to be effective you have to be in a good position with enemies lined up, this is where the extra mobility of the Maccabian sword is very useful. Another thing I REALLY like about that weapon is the fact that it's a weapon that quell the peril automatically which is amazing because when you want to relocate in a better position to blast enemies, you will quell your peril by just having the weapon in hand, (this is great!) and when you have to rez someone you can just tank so much if you take the talent that make you block with your peril instead of your stamina. Now, because you "naturally" quell your peril with that sword (or any other weapon other than the force sword) you end up very tanky as a bonus which now makes you as good as an Ogryn to rez people. This is why I really, really like that sword. Hope you enjoyed my loooong answer.
