Is it possible to make the webcam window pane much larger WHILE recording so i can see what I'm actually recording? It's strange that it's just a small size within that recording bar - i can't even see it from 3 feet away, which is the distance i am from the laptop when recording.

please make a video on how to do a 1920x1080 screen cast and then convert it to a vertical tiktok video. tracking the mouse, auto zoom and pan. Is this even possible in this software?

For the 2025 version, let's streamline the process with a single click. Automate everything by tracking mouse movements and clicks for pan and zoom effects. This way, we only need to review and tweak if necessary, instead of repeating the process hundreds of times. Thanks, Camtasia!

When I add clipspeed it makes my voice sound like a robot...have never been able to get it right

Yeah, clip speed will adjust your voice. It will be less noticeable if you don't speed up too much. One option is to separate the audio from the clip. Harder to match things up that way - but gives you the most control over your audio.

You can only select one monitor to record.

I'm not sure about 'adjusting the decks properly" since that'd be to your personal preference, but you can detach both the timeline AND the canvas, and either of them can work on the other monitor. I've never been a fan of splitting it unless 1 of 2 things is true: 1: I'm working on a timeline with LOTS of tracks and I want to see them all at once OR 2: I want to be able to preview the playback at 100% on a separate monitor. I hope that helps.

If your cursor is burned into the .MP4 - there's not much you can do to remove the cursor or add effects. MP4 files are flattened. If you have a version without a cursor in your video, you could overlay a cursor using a motion path, which is found in the animation menu.

Damn! I'm gonna have to save this video as a reminder. I have been studying this content creation space and this video summarized so much of what I have been learning. Crazy thing is had I seen this video before all the research I have been doing it definitely wouldn't have hit me as hard. This is all new to me and Think Media has helped a lot. I'm leaning towards getting Camtasia based on their reviews. This learning curve may hurt a little, but I think it will be worth it.

Ultimately - glasses glare is best handled during recording and not removed in post. It's going to be difficult to fix it in any editing tool.

All those beginning steps should have been done with a background already there(like a solid bright color) so you can see how each change effects the subject. looking at a black background gives you no insight.

Go to the Audio Effects > Emphasize -- drag it to the audio clip that you want to be the focus. You can make adjustment in the properties.

I am transitioning from a free open source video editor to Camtasia. I've updated my mouse so that I have my favorite work flows programmed there, but one of my favorite time saving maneuvers I am struggling to figure out. Here is my use case. Hopefully you can understand how I use it. I typically am doing screen recordings and have one track of screen and one track of me on my camera lined up. I will need to get rid of a segment. I use S to splice the clip at the beginning where I need to remove a clip then slide over to the spot where I know I will want to resume and click S again. This gives me a clean spot to delete where I'd typically click X on the keyboard AND have ripple all tracks on so that I could delete both tracks simultaneously and the empty spot goes away. I see there is an option to ripple delete, but it only ripple deletes the one track and doesn't ripple all the tracks which would mean that my video would no longer line up. I'm probably just missing something, but hoping you know how I can ripple all of the tracks when I want to delete a clip. Thanks so much.

@TheCreatorClassroom - I have 3 options for how you can do this. 1) Click and drag your mouse cursor to select all the tracks of the media you want to ripple delete. Once selected, delete. 2) Hold shift and click on all the clips you want to ripple delete, then ripple delete. 3) You'll want to set-up in your properties the hotkey for Select all media at playhead. Chose a combination that works for you. This will select all the media on all tracks where the playhead is. This, once set up, is nice because it allows you to split your layers, and then select them quickly, and delete. Hope that helps speed up your workflow a little more.

When Andy is on screen, the camera is being used. The screen recording is using Camtasia to record. And the video was edited in Camtasia.

I not tech savvy and maybe I’m not asking the question correctly. I choose a video while it’s in the vertical mode once I saw the video I turn it sideways and it rotates accordingly and it feels the screen that is not happening anymore and I don’t know why.

You really need to add an option to decrease the preview resolution to 1/2 or 1/4 the project resolution It'll really be a game changer

It's called "Proxy Video." Go to your Media Bin, and click any of the videos you want to proxy, right-click and select Proxy Video -> Create Proxy Video. It will decrease the resolution of the footage during playback (don't be surprised if it's blurry), but once you export the footage it'll be at it's sharpest again. How to you add a missing word in animated captions? Any video tutorial showing this?

In this current version of Dynamic Captions you cannot add a word where there wasn't a space, but stay tuned, the dev team is working on it. If your captions AREN'T growing, moving, or highlighting, then you can add one into a space that already exists and fit two words, but if they're moving, they'll move together (as you I'm sure you are aware based on your phrasing).

Ciao Camtasia, se cerchi di catturare lo schermo contemporaneamente nelle 2 direzioni orizzontale e verticale il risultato non è ottimale in quanto l'immagine finale è scalettata ossia non combaciano le varie fasce. Ho già segnalato questo a Snagit ma non hanno mai risolto ! Quindi quando recensisci video di programmi accertati prima che funzionino correttamente altrimenti fai altro che è meglio 😏

There are definite limitations to vertical and horizontal simultaneous scrolling. For example, if anything on the screen stays still while the rest of the screen moves, it will cause a problem. If you scroll too fast it will cause a problem. I recorded a short video to try and clear it up: app.screencast.com/TKOav1R5bq9fo

Io non scorro sul video nulla con tasti e mouse, è il programma che fa tutto da solo. Il tuo link video non chiarisce nulla riguardo il problema.🤫
