The background music is funny with the angel vocal and a Carlton logo on a Fitzroy jumper and cliche old man bugger you Australian accents the accents are real but the lines are hilarious

It should have been a Fitzroy versus North Melbourne grand final in 1983 with North Melbourne finishing top of the ladder and Fitzroy being equal or even better than North Melbourne having thrashed North Melbourne at the Junction oval that year and yes Fitzroy losing Laurie Serafiny in round 22 cost Fitzroy dearly

Unreal team Would be good if they even showed highlights of the losses and even highlights of the opposition just to give the games a bit of context.

Fun fact: No less than 9 of the 42 players in this match would go on to coach at least one AFL game including (as of 2024) four current senior coaches (McRae, Chris Scott, Voss and Hardwick). The others are Merrett, Leppitsch, Hird, O'Donnell and Mark Harvey.

I was at this game, the last Fitzroy game I saw. Terrible the AFL didn't give us a home game to close out, instead of MCG v Richmond and Fremantle in the west.

I'm a Rugby League supporter but often wonder if fans would of liked SANFL/WAFL clubs exist in some league set up with the old VFL like the old BRL clubs just been brought in with the NSWRL comp instead of starting new clubs like West Coast, Adelaide and Brisbane Broncos.
