Please never delete this!! I cant tell you how much it means to me that I’ve FINALLY found this. This is the version I grew up with and that brings up such good memories and makes me sooo happy. I sadly haven’t been connected with the community in many years now so I’ve been trying so hard to find the songs of my youth but every time I search they are never the right version!! This was the EXACT perfect version and with it being live I really felt like I was back at temple in such a joyous service. I cant tell you how much it means to me that I’ve found this correct version and with the right pronunciation! This made me so happy!! Thank you ♥️

It is the summer, another Covid summer, but somewhat less stressful than the last. My reform congregation has a small group on Saturdays doing bible studies followed by Shabbat services, all on zoom. Somehow I have become the stand in Cantor when my buddy Jaimie (who rocks) takes vacation (three times in July)--And last week was my debut if you will. I was very anxious. The first song on the list to sing was Mah Tovu. Somehow I felt I needed to sing it well for the rest of the songs to come to me. I was doing most of them A Capella (except when I whipped out my ukuelele which I learned --sort of--during my sequestration). I played this video ten times at least just before services started because it was in my key and perfectly sung. Then I came on to zoom, DID my Mah Tovu, and the rest went as smooth as silk thank God. So thank you 18 times 100 for your posting. I have two or three more Cantor stand-ins in the coming weeks and believe me I will be playing it another ten times at least. Did I mention Im a little OCD lol? We all know that nobody is perfect, so I don't ask that of myself or others. However, let's be honest, singing off key is torture for everybody. No? May you have many blessed Shabbat Shaloms.
