This song was everything to me in 6th grade when I moved states and had no friends. So nostalgic

This song makes me think about traveling to an alternate universe of this world where things are right and good and where everything turns out fair and where there is no betrayal or hate and where you can do anything you want and you have no walls holding you in. A world that is truly made right and is better than unlike this world that was built to fail from the start. a world where anything you dream can become real. Even if that dream was something crazy like the ability to fly or dreaming unicorns were real. A world that is pure and exciting and you are free to simply be yourself. A world like no other and where heartbreak is healed and will never exist again.

My folks, they left the TV on I was falling in love years before I ever met someone Like a prayer, you don't expect an answer Though you ask for one And sure my love would come along Like some little bird and only I would recognize its home Like the actors I seen on the television With the stage lights on What I found was a gamble You threw yourself in with me Made a cross and you lit a candle But we were only strangers cornered in a dark room Projecting slides of cozy lives on the wall In the dark I thought I saw you Or was it nothing at all Of everyone I ever knew I'm giving it all to you I'm asking everything in return And I have nothing left to lose I'll get it back through you And take your offer It's time I wake and I'm still alive Now in my expiration date imagine my surprise Some backwards take on the book of Job His life was a wager and mine's a joke Give him what he wants, he will never know He's tired of trying to let himself go Of everyone I ever knew I've gotten used to you I've grown attached to you being here With everyone I ever knew I've learned to count on you As my own fingers Of everyone I ever knew I've gotten close to you I've grown attached to you being here With everyone I ever knew I've learned to count on you As my own fingers
Whats going on with Typhoon lately? They are an AMAZING Band

It’s almost like we all start out on boats of life, all very similar, carved from the same wood, that become more weathered depending on what waters we sail.

Unhand me I am not a criminal But I've played a guilty part In the modern sense that one pretends Their life is original I wrote a book and I will call it something cynical The story is slow the hero does not change And if he can then he won't anyway Instead his foes and lovers all become identical I fled the country I thought I'd leave this behind But I built the same damn house On every acre I could find And I tried to fake my own death Just shake the devils from my mind And I said Unhand me I am not a criminal And if I am I paid the man just let me go Soon enough you will be dancing at my funeral

God, this whole album is one of the best I've heard in my whole life. To get this deep into 'B sides' and still have songs this good is rediculous.

i love this song, i remember a sunday, may 24, 2020, it was the date i felt, that my love would come, my body would shiver, my heart felt such a strong energy, everything seemed to have life, the trees, everything it was beautiful, the way the wind reached me, I was determined that I would find my love, I would find the woman of my life that week, the days were beautiful, I stayed on the street until the sun went down, the covid was horrible, it was a sad time but that specific week i felt something so fabulous, on the 30th of may, a girl called me, i never reply to profiles without pictures, and girls don't call me lol but i replied and made puns in the first message without even knowing each other, 1 month later boyfriends and we are together until today, we started dating on July 3, 2020, and she has a birthday on July 8 and I am on July 9, many coincidences hahah when I hear this song I go back to that week, I heard it several times in those days of May 2020 was everything so magical, I wish other people feel it, it's the best feeling anyone can feel. :)

I was so lost, broken and hopeless when my wife found me. I'd been through the ultimate betrayal and divorce, and had lost everything that mattered to me. I had been praying for a miracle for over a year when she came into my life. She is my miracle. I think about all that she means to me and weep tears of joy. We were married 9 years ago today, on the one month anniversary of our first date. Some would call it a gamble to marry someone you just met, but when God rearranges the universe just for you, you don't hesitate or ask questions. You just go with it. It's the best thing I've ever done.

I heard this on NPR once. Played this video a couple times. 2 years later when I got on Discogs I made sure I bought my copy. In 2 years I didn't forget about this album, and I listen to music constantly, a testament to quality. This song was so slept on.
